It'd been two months on this ship, now. Two months of some sort of Giger fantasy-world zooming through space, and Martha just clinging along for the ride. Yet nearly all of her time had been spent in the Med Bay working or the TARDIS. Both of which were slowly losing their appeal. Back home, it wasn't odd for Martha to find herself taking a night on the town, whether with her sister and brother or her mates. She even had quite a few nice dates with Thomas. But now that was all different wasn't it?
Or maybe it didn't have to be. Determined to get to know the ship and give herself the freedom she used to feel before, Martha decided to take a trip to the City Level of the ship. Just herself, but still hoping to find some fun.
((OOC note: Martha's going to be all over the city, so feel free to expect her at any location therein!))

Inside, Lash was busy reading a book and making notes, the pen in her mouth as she quietly studied a few books from the pile in the counter. Merchant demons were busy cleaning up the shelves. Fancy a little shopping?

She wasn't sure who was in charge, so spoke aloud to whomever may listen.
"Right, I hope I don't qualify as a 'Zedd.'"
no subject
"Oh! I don't think I know you at all!"
no subject
"Don't think we've met. My name's Martha Jones, and I have to say you have ... well, a pretty awesome shop here."
She held out her hand to shake, giving a warm smile in the process.

Lash took her hand, extended it and then removed it at the last minute. She shook it back, having learned that sometimes being a tiny bit nice could get you better favors in the end. Yes. That was a perfectly valid excuse for being nice.
"Name's Lash. Just Lash. And of course it's awesome, me and Zetta made it!" Modest as always.
The Game Room
He looked up as Martha came in, curious. "Hello. Come to play something?"
no subject
She made her way up the stairway and into the sight of Zouichi. She gave a small wave as she saw him, as well as a raised eyebrow to the parrot.
"Oh, hello. I'm not a big gambler, actually. Just looking around."
no subject
"This place belongs to a friend of mine. He's much better at gambling than I am, but he did teach me how to play poker." He paused. "There's also an A.G.W.S. game in here, but I haven't given it a try yet."
The parrot looked up at her, then went back to playing with the deck of cards, his task made easier by the fact that Zouichi had stopped shuffling it.
no subject
She extended a finger to the parrot, hoping to give it a little pet on the head.
"A.G.W.S.? And what's that?"
no subject
The parrot hopped deftly out of reach of Martha's hand; he wasn't being hostile, but he did look a little wary.
"Here," said Zouichi, producing a couple of sunflower seeds from one of his jacket pockets and offering them to Martha. "Looks like you'll have to bribe him first. An A.G.W.S. is... it's a sort of manned armored suit, designed for ground and space combat. Sort of like the Gundams in the Hangar, although the two don't really resemble each other very closely."
no subject
"Hey, I've seen you, right?" He's pretty sure he's seen her before. "You're one of the new recruits for Medical, right? Martha Something, right?"
no subject
"Yeah, Martha Jones. Err, Howard, right?"
no subject
He leans out of the trash can and places some of his finds on the ground - mostly pieces of metal or discarded plastic he can find some use for, but he's especially happy about finding a box with some still-straight nails left in it. He cocks his head at her, trying to get a good read on her.
"I haven't seen you hanging much around Rory, so I guess you're either already trained as a nurse or you're a doctor, right? I mean, no offense, but you don't seem quite awkward enough to be a medical administrator. We only let the weirdos take that job." He shrugs. "Unless you're secretly a lot weirder than you look, which is completely possible here."
no subject
"We're all a bit weird to go into the medical field, right? But yeah, I'm a doctor. Although being a doctor on Earth was pretty different than here. Still have plenty of training to go through again."
Martha walks a bit closer now, feeling better about Howard now. Although the gathering of items still drew her curiosity.
"And what is this about?"
no subject
"Med school and everything? Really? You look way too young for all that. Too bad they probably didn't teach you how to activate the holograms or whether those big computer things in the med bay are coffeemakers, diagnostics machines or portals to hell." He drops a Tupperware lid and, with a pleased little huff, a length of twisted up twine over the edge of the garbage can, then clambers out.
"What's what about? This? I'm the resident junkyard packrat. At least, that's what Chase calls it."

Tilting on wing tip she gave a wave of forelimb down to her as she looked for a spot nearby to land.

The creature was large and beautiful, and looked ... indeed, it looked like a real dragon. It would be foolish of her to disbelieve the existence of one now, but it was still an amazing sight to behold.
And ... did it actually wave at her? She gave a curious smile as she found herself sprinting to follow the dragon, a childlike glee taking over her. A bloody dragon!

With exceptional ease, Celena weaved her way between the taller buildings and came down to land with a single backward stroke of her powerful wings to land gracefully even as the woman she had taken interest in would round the corner. Folding her wings in against her sides she dipped her head in cheerful greetings, "Hello there, I hope I didn't disturb your wanderings too greatly,"
