The foothills of the Khur mountains were covered by long, slightly sticky, brownish-green grass that made annoying clicking noises when the wind blew through them. That clicking noise, however, was completely covered up by the sounds of battle, as Kang faced off against a group of goblins. He turned sideways to dodge a sword with a jagged, rusty blade, and swung his battle-axe, burying it in the goblin's chest. He wasted no time in yanking it out and spinning around to cleanly behead another one that had come up behind him.

He hadn't consciously thought this particular, familiar, location up; he'd just wanted to blow off some steam. He'd had a lot on his mind since the battle had ended.

Most of that was Crucible.

Why had the bronze saved his daughter, and even let her ride on his back in battle? It made no sense to the bozak. Bronzes, like the other metallics, killed his kind.

Growling, he swung again, muttering a curse when his axe blade deflected off of the third goblin's crappy armor and swiftly bringing it back up to parry its spear. Then, he ducked and spun his tail around to knock his foe's feet from underneath him; it was dead from disembowelment before it even had a chance to get back up.

He continued without pause until all eight were corpses, and took a step back, panting from the exertion.

[I know there have been a few dragons, but I do not tend to delve into their origins.] Light knew how many times she'd had to explain the Draenei were not, in fact, some sort of religion's demons. [Is that what this is about?] She knew he'd been distracted by the dragon on the field, when it had snatched up his daughter.

She wondered if an orc snatched up Vaals, if her reaction would be the same.

She sat down beside him, mindful of her tail and horns. [Have you asked Bight about what he might've been doing on the planet?] It would be rather odd for something so large to awaken on Stacy and not be known. Even in passing.

Nehaalista looked thoughtfully at the landscape, [And your youngling is well, is she not?]

[Things can change,] Nehaalista pointed out. [And children are often the most surprising harbingers of that change.] She knew how different things suddenly had been with Vaals, and how his manifestation hadn't ever been towards the Light.

As a paladin and a Vindicator, it was a bit embarrassing, but Kinase had said it best. Whatever their son chose, they needed to support him. [That dragon's profile has been extremely low. If you do not desire asking him, I will gladly do so in your stead. I am a neutral party.]

Nehaalista spread her hands wide, [As you wish. Still remember that my offer will always remain open to you.] She smiled at him, in understanding, though she hoped she'd never have to feel the sting of betrayal that would come from killing one's kin.

It was technicality with the Legion, anyway. Filthy Light-forsaken demons. Nehaalista smoothed a hand over her tabard of the Hand of Argus in thought. The gold weave hadn't managed to fade yet, and for that, she was thankful. [It isn't good to fight alone. I have found it rarely clears my head.] She stood and turned towards him. Her tail flicked against her thighs. [Even if it is against simulated enemies.]
