The foothills of the Khur mountains were covered by long, slightly sticky, brownish-green grass that made annoying clicking noises when the wind blew through them. That clicking noise, however, was completely covered up by the sounds of battle, as Kang faced off against a group of goblins. He turned sideways to dodge a sword with a jagged, rusty blade, and swung his battle-axe, burying it in the goblin's chest. He wasted no time in yanking it out and spinning around to cleanly behead another one that had come up behind him.

He hadn't consciously thought this particular, familiar, location up; he'd just wanted to blow off some steam. He'd had a lot on his mind since the battle had ended.

Most of that was Crucible.

Why had the bronze saved his daughter, and even let her ride on his back in battle? It made no sense to the bozak. Bronzes, like the other metallics, killed his kind.

Growling, he swung again, muttering a curse when his axe blade deflected off of the third goblin's crappy armor and swiftly bringing it back up to parry its spear. Then, he ducked and spun his tail around to knock his foe's feet from underneath him; it was dead from disembowelment before it even had a chance to get back up.

He continued without pause until all eight were corpses, and took a step back, panting from the exertion.

"You seem to be perfectly fine as well. I would have liked to fight alongside you; I have no doubt your magic would have been useful," Kang shifted the subject away from Kali, putting the axe back into the harness between his wings. "You are the one who protects Sanction from the Lords of Doom, after all."

"Only minor burns and cuts for the most part, nothing that took too long to heal. Indeed, but one of the simpler threats to Sanction," He commented with the hint of a wry smile as if the Volcano's themselves were but another simple annoyance in a long line, not resisting the change in topic at the least, "perhaps soon we shall get that chance, Kang, my magic alongside your skill at arms such would be the least I could do, after all, you did help save my city. Even if you haven't just yet,"

"That's good to hear." Kang smiled, "I will never get used to the differing timeline points. Maybe, if we do manage to restore our worlds, our help in Sanction will be for reasons more than the Dark Knights and Takhisis."

Bight chuckled and dipped his head, "It something few would be able to be entirely used to I would imagine, not unheard of though," After all, there had been reports of one of the Heroes of the Lance appearing many years after his reported death, "Perhaps so indeed," He returned with a smile, whether that would truly be the case or not, once his identity was known was another matter.

His smile fading a bit, Kang sat down on a nearby rock, curling his tail around his feet, "We're lucky we didn't lose more. Damn lucky. It's hard to believe that it was him, too."

His own smile fades as his expression goes more sombre, almost as if the face of one who had seen much war and loss in times past. Bight himself sat on down opposite Kang, "Lucky we are," he nodded softly in agreement, he had seen many men lost to smaller engagements to the battle past, that they had lost but one, was a testament to their skill and luck, that said he had seen countless casualties amongst the GIA's forces from the air, "It is indeed, but if there is a more fitting way to go out than saving the lives of countless others I have yet to see it, especially for one so centered in the protection of others,"

Kang shook his head, "No, nothing more fitting. I didn't always agree with him on things, but I did respect him. He was a decent man."

Bight dipped his head at that, "He was, and I doubt anyone on board will be quick to forget him,"
