Be it ever so badass there's no place like home

It had taken months of wandering the city.

Hundreds of different tubes taken to reach different sections.

More then a few bumps and bruises from exploring rotted out husks of buildings.

But Ruffnut was positive that THIS! This building would be the perfect place to call her own.

She fell in love with it the minute she laid eyes on it. While it didn't look particularly wicked or dangerous on the outside (at least not to her) it had an aura about it. A sort of pulsing sense of foreboding doom that sent pleasurable shivers down her adrenaline loving body.

She would claim this tower as her home, and the castle Thorston would rise up as a mighty middle finger to anyone who doubted her potential.

She was dressed in casual clothes again today, a t-shirt with the words baconstrips& printed on it multiple times and a pair of torn up rockstar jeans she adjusted her trusty helmet and began her "peaceful" takeover of this new territory.

"An Overlord?" There's a term he hadn't heard before. What is it with people on this ship and elemental powers, anyway?

"Yeah an Overlord! Like...badass demon queen or something. I'll kick ass and take names and be the most powerful viking there ever was!" These were all the things that she had deduced from what Zetta told her about Overlord status.

"And an overlord needs a cool home, so this one is mine."

This... was not the strangest thing he had heard since coming on the ship. So who was he to doubt it and call it crazy?

"Well, I'm not going to fight you for it," he said mildly. "Is there a code for what makes a home cool enough to live in? This seems a bit less... luxurious than I would have thought a demon queen would have wanted."

"A code?" That was a pretty good question actually, "Can't you just feel it though? It's all creepy and dark and study and pointy!" She gushed, "There's this overwhelming sort of badass about it that says "Anyone brave enough to live here is NOT to be messed with!"

"Sort of like living on a glacier or in a deep cave," he said. He had to admit there was a certain kind of odd logic behind it. "But why do you need to prove it?"

"I uh..." That actually stopped her in her tracks. Why did Vikings feel the need to prove to everyone their strength and ability? It had something to do with making sure no one messed with you sure, but when was the last time anyone messed with her on Stacy?

"Pride." She decided finally with a resolute nod.
