A Housewarming Party for a Castle

Celestia's new home was a grand residence indeed: the citadel of Camelot, a place which featured heavily in the myths and legends of Earth. Not that Celestia was familiar with these myths, of course.

Guests were free to wonder around the castle at will, but Celestia had decided that today, the courtyard would be a lovely place for everypony to get together. There were a few tables set up, with the treats Hoshi and Applejack had so generously made, and Rarity's beautiful decorations. And later, Celestia planned to invite her guests to ride on the Ferris wheel that happened to be located just outside the castle.

The crewmembers had suffered a great loss recently, but she hoped that this would bring them some small amount of joy, and the comfort of friendship in this time.

[[ooc: Sorry this is a day late guys, uni ended up being much more hectic yesterday than I expected. Anyways, I've put up a subthread for Celestia greeting visitors and rides on the London Eye. Those that ICly helped out this party can also set up sub-threads for the food tables/games/whatever as well, if you guys want to. (Edit: The sub-thread for Hoshi & Applejack's nibbles is up here!)

But other than that, feel free to start your own threads and tag each other. People can also wonder around and explore the castle - it's the BBC Merlin version of Camelot, but only the citadel itself (as opposed to the whole city).]]

"Well, if I'm actually that busy, I don't think I would mind time passing so quickly. But if you really want to go and remind me to take my breaks, I don't think I'd mind it too much." Granted, she had no idea how extreme he'd be, but maybe that was for the better.

She laughed. "Well in that case, I'll have to make it a mission to visit more, wouldn't want to upset Fontaine. Has he gotten along any better with Billy?"

The elf glanced to the side, knowing all too well just how Fontaine felt about it.

"I think 'reluctant acceptance' would be the best way to describe it. He does not actively dislike Billy, but he does not like him, either. He is neutral on the subject as of now, I would say. He does realize that if he wishes to see Ronnae while he is recovering, he may need to be in Billy's presence as well, so he will be on his best behavior, at least."

And if Billy didn't visit with Ronnae, well, then Fontaine was going to monopolize all the time with her.

"That's a shame," Kaya said, shaking her head. "I'm sure Billy would never do anything to try and take Fontaine's time with Ronnae away. Then again, I'm not in his head, so I don't know what he's thinking anyway. At least we know that its not likely he's going to start disliking you anytime soon, right?"

Then, she startled. "Wait a moment. You said female nurses. Did something happen to Fontaine?!"

"No, I do not think so, either. But Fontaine does tend to be irrational sometimes," the elf said with a laugh. "Which is interesting, because he says the same about me."

It was true; they shared the strangest traits and habits at times; the most obvious one was being stubborn. As many years as they had spent alongside each other, it wasn't a surprise. As of yet their most offending traits hadn't rubbed off on each other just yet.

Her surprise at his words caused him to turn his gaze back to her, an eyebrow furrowed. "Yes. Did I not mention such a thing?" he questioned, his fingers smoothing over his chin. "Ah! Only to Billy and Ronnae--she was there, of course. He was moderately injured in a number of places during that battle--though I have the advantage of fighting from afar and suffered minor injuries, he was on the field with Ronnae, fighting behind her."

Kaya shook her head. "I can sort of tell that Billy wishes their relatonship was a little different. He's the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back., Maybe in time, their relationship will get a bit better."

Kaya's eyes bugged. "No, you definitely did not mention that! If I'd known that, I would have come to visit straight away, the poor thing! In that case, we'll have to make a run to the bus, so I can at least make him some soup and take a look at his wounds. Poor Fontaine..."

Kaya is in pure mothering mode now, thanks Nokosi.

Nokosi chuckled at the expression she made and smoothed his hand over her cheek in an apologetic gesture.

"He will appreciate it--he does take much joy out of being pampered by people other than me, mostly because I am not some young, beautiful girl. Though, he cannot quite walk yet and he is much too large for me to carry." It would be like attempting to lift a horse in his arms. Maybe if he were a Dwarf, Orc or some sort of class that relied on his strength, it might be possible. For now, it would be impossible.

"His injuries are varied but they ar mostly burns," he further explained. "I think given time, his and Billy's relationship will improve." Maybe.

Kaya chuckled. She was really not used to being called such things, so hen she was, she felt flattered but casually brshed it aside. Really, that was the last thing she considered herself, especially in the last few days.

"In that case, I'll start looking into treating him ith some slaves," Kaya sais. "we still have some time before they need me in med bay after all: we can still attend to him! Why he needs a beu-ah, pretty girl is beyond me, but at least this way e can help him to feel better!"

She nodded. "I hope so. Billy is usually very accomodating and tries to get people to like him."

Nokosi looked at her as if the answer was glaringly obvious. "Because he likes female companionship? He can be a lecherous, old wolf you know." It really was a good thing that their spirit link only worked between them two. If everyone was aware of some of the things Fontaine said...well. Every encounter would be a highly interesting one!

"But you needn't rush yourself to squeeze time in; I would be a very poor Hunter if I did not know how to care for my animal companions. Even more-so, I am an alchemist, so I have many restorative salves and oils on hand," he said, rather proudly.

"If you'd like, you can stop by to see him after your shift in Medical is over. We can share a meal as well." It wouldn't be a fantastic meal, but it would be more appetizing than slop, at least. He was really hoping they would get shore leave time in sooner than later--some resupplies are much needed.
