Rest and Relaxation. [totally open]
After Lirath, Hoshi was feeling drained - physically, mentally, and a little bit emotionally, too. Honestly, the only thing that was keeping her standing was her spirit at this point and perhaps some pain that had dulled by now. However, one she got her bike parked, walked inside and trudged up the stairs, she walked over to the bed and crashed on it.
She was used to being thrashed around in a beyblade match, sure, but the fight she took part in wasn't just a simple match that she could just get over quickly. She had a feeling it'd take time and she was perfectly willing to just kick back for a bit and recover.
... Though, the pink elephant in the room was hard to ignore. And so, she turned over a bit, holding back her wince to glance at it.
"...Hey. What's up with the huge chunk of stuff in the room?"

Still, whatever the item was that Philip had to reorganize everything (and when she just got done putting all the books away, too) made her curious.

Clearly, when he met Dean, he took the example set by the overworked man to heart.
Once he hangs up his hat, Shoutarou looks at what Philip is doing, and raises a brow. "...Philip, what're you up to?"

"Seems like I've got a bit of things to explain," said Philip as Mikku regarded the group from the top of the book case.

"What kind of things do you have to explain, Philip?"

She withheld her concern for now and sat up a bit. "What kind of projects are those?"

"Gaia Memories..." he answered Hoshi's question. "What have you been doing, Philip?"

She was still genuinely curious about why she was given the Nazca Memories, as well as the adapter. So, then, maybe... "--Also, I've been wanting to ask you about that, Philip. When I was able to transform into Nazca's Level 2 form, I was given two Memories after the first fight. As well as this--" she paused to bring out the adapter and showed it to Philip.
"You don't think your mother made these, do you?"

He nodded at Hoshi's question. "That is my mothers work. The Gaia Memory Enhancer, and two individual memories for Nazca 2 and 3."

"You're not putting the toxin in, are you?"

Bluntly, he asked, "How are you testing these? By jamming them into yourself and seeing if they work?"

Then, she fell into a sort of quiet lull while weighing her options. When she finally spoke, she let out a little sigh. "Are you going to create more Riders like you did with me or are we going to have dopants running rampant?" She hoped it was the former and not the latter in this situation.

"I'm looking to reinforce the Riders, instead of making new ones," said Philip. "Better fine tune our respective powers than increase our numbers."
no subject
"Leave it alone," he said. "We've already had two disasters with mixing powers, between those kids and Odin. And I already saw how these things explode when they're put under too much stress."

"So, I say that we do it. As long as he's working on the Memories, we help him test it out to see what the big fuss is about. And, if it turns out to be a success, then it's just more firepower we have to help protect those on the ship and continue to survive in this war." With the way she was speaking, you'd have to wonder if she really was sixteen after all.
"Besides, Ren -- with your Vent cards, wouldn't it be better to have another power to fall back on should those decide to fail?"

"But the same mistake can't be made twice, right? We're knowledgeable enough to prevent it from happening again."

"What if someone with ill will gets ahold of them? Then they put people on this ship in danger. Not everyone who wakes up here is a good person." Shoutarou rubs his temples a bit. "Unlike Stacy's armory, we don't have those kind of security measures in place to prevent it from happening."

She went quiet for a minute or two, thinking on her options here before she abruptly stood up with her finger extended. "I got it! There's this place in the Masaki House, where I live on Stacy, that no one's allowed to go into except Sasami! So, with the Gaia Memories we have, we can ask her to put them in that room and therefore, those who have access to it - which is just one person - can continue to keep them protected so that they don't fall into the wrong hands!"
You may say "brain blast" at any time, guys.

He sighed in exasperation before turning to Shoutarou. "It's your choice, though. Even if I think it's a mistake to even be continuing this."
no subject
Then, at Ren's next question she thought about it and shook her head. "No. I'll keep them on my person. Someone would have to be pretty foolish to try to steal them from me under my very eyes."
