Just as the crew was beginning to think there might be an end in sight, slowly but surely beating back the Shrikes and Leviathans, a second wave appeared: more of the Escort-class Leviathans and their Shrike cargo, of course, but some of the fighters might be able to see a few new faces among the Ohm forces -- the Titan anti-mecha units, freshly minted and out for blood.

There were only about nine of them, deployed in groups of three each, but that was enough. Take heavy offensive and defensive capabilities, the capability to fire massive beam attacks capable of wiping out small fighters by the hundreds, and the nasty habit of ganging up on lone mechs to annihilate them, and this was not going to be easy.
