Lirath - Ground Battle
After dropping off some of the crew at Balisair, it was time for the crew to set course for Lirath. The situation greeting them wasn't the most promising.
The cracked surface of the moon called Lirath was one of its most unmistakeable features. One of the three moons of the planet Kehoe, it had been terraformed and served as a settlement for a hundreds of different species, some humanoid, some not. Despite occasional class struggles, environmental issues, and speciesism blocking their way, the darker parts of Lirath's past were largely left behind, and an era of peace and tolerance had reigned for quite some time. The only problems they'd had recently were with a terrorist group whose cause for their actions had been a mystery, but they weren't tied to any particular species or social group and had been likened to a cult and had largely gone quiet in recent years.
Now the peace on the moon of Lirath had been shattered by the invasion of the Ohm.
The capital city had been destroyed. Now, all that was left of the peoples of Lirath was evacuating from one of its smaller cities, one known as Smyteval. A desert city, existing in a valley in between a rocky range of canyons and mountains, even though it was in the low ground, the natural channels of rock served as bottlenecks for any Ohm attacking from the ground.
GIA squadrons patrolled in space, locked in explosive warfare, protecting the Bleed-gate that had been activated to see the evacuated ships to the refugee world, and a shield created by massively-powerful shield generators extended around the city and up into the atmosphere, creating a shielded tunnel so ships could escape.
Word had come that there was a vital weapon to be deployed on Lirath, one that needed to be destroyed, hence why the Transmigration 9 had been called in. Given the diverse crew, and the ships that were in its hangar, there was at least someone or something on board that could blow the weapon up if it did show.
There was no sign of it yet. Right now, there was just chaos, streams of evacuees boarding ships, armies of Ohm engaged with GIA soldiers outside the shields, and forcefields that everyone hoped would hold out just a little bit longer.
The crew would be following Leon's orders but finding themselves fighting side-by-side with GIA platoons, full of various species that were currently all getting their asses kicked severely.

Sasami let out a gasp as she saw the bombs come close. There was no way to escape, no way to warn the others. All she could do was clench up and let out a blood-curing scream in terror.
That was probably all it needed as, moments later, Sasami's twin triangle markings lit up and the four suddenly found themselves surrounded in a barrier, the acid bombs exploding harmlessly over them and spilling to the sides.
"I... I..." she stammered, shocked that she did that. Did she truly have that power...?

"Sasami?" she murmured.
But she lost concentration on the battle, and an Ohm hit her from behind.

A furious rage built inside her as she charged at the Ohm, her hands glowing with energy as she swung her staff at the creature. "LEAVE HER ALONE!" Out of instinct, she held her hand out and let loose that burst of energy, the first time since her battle with KAIN.
"Aqua-neesan, get up and go!" she called out, reaching down to grab her hands to help her up.

"Heal."
The flowering green light took care of the injuries and pain, but it left behind a slight fatigue from the magical drain.
"Thanks," she said. "I'm okay."

"I'm glad..." she said, hugging her sister slightly before pulling away. She turned to face Will and shouted out. "She's okay!"
Her twin markings glowed again as the energy returned to her once more. "I won't let them hurt you or anyone else... I promise."
She punctured that as she turned and swung her staff once more, energy tearing through the beasts.
"We'll look after you..."
We'll look after you...
Yes, there was two distinctive voices there.

As more Ohm charged, she rushed in with a Barrier Surge--her barrier protecting her and slamming into the enemy. She followed it up with another Wishing Edge, keeping to the easier attacks while building her strength again.

She had to think fast, though - there was no way she could keep this up for too long.
no subject
Well, they were definitely going to need to think of something fast, otherwise they were going to be worn down and overwhelmed by these superior numbers. But what could they do, what real weaknesses did the Ohm actually have?

"Got one, Aniki!" exclaimed Chamo. "There's a big mass coming up towards us. Maybe its time for that last move?"
"... I haven't perfected it yet!"
"Never too late to unleash hell! What's wrong, scared to ride with the devil?" grinned Chamo.
Negi facepalmed. And fell backwards to the group. "Everyone, cast your strongest spells on me, and direct attacks outwards in a cone. We'll finish this part of the army in one blow. I call it Rider Kick - Decade Tribute."
no subject
"Got it," she said, sending over a Raging Storm (http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Raging_Storm) spell. While she was at it, she cleared a little room for them with a devastating Mega Flare.

Without a second though, she went a little too far into recklessville as she stabbed her staff into the ground, then brought her hands together, the energy swirling through it forming into a crude energy blade. A crude, LARGE, energy blade.
With a yell, she ran up and brought the energy blade down, the shockwave from the strike dispersing a group of Ohm as well as those destroyed by the blade.
It didn't help matters that Sasami temporarily dropped to her knees in exhaustion. That... was REALLY stupid.

The attacks engulfed him in a firestorm of flames, electrical and energy as he roared loudly, thrusting his hand into the air as glyphs began to dance around the battlefield, herding Ohm into the middle of them.
RASTEL RASKIL MAGISTER! Novem astrum in divum , repono told quod sung , EGO dico super thee. Iacio mihi thy vox , permissum totus precor ut unus , permissum veho flow per vox intus mihi , quod addo justicia ut terra!
Nine stars in the sky, stories told and sung, I call upon thee. Cast me thy power, let all invoke as one, let the ride flow through the power within me, and bring justice to the land!
Blazing white-hot, Negi shot into the air as a huge line of glyphs appeared between him and the advancing army. Praying he aimed true, he yelled, "RIDER KICK - DECADE TRIBUTE!!!!!!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N87Sefp3VX8)
Blazing forward in a side kick through the enormous circles of magic, he passed through them, forcing the magical energy down as he blazed towards the army.
And then, there was silence, as Negi intoned, "Emmitam Pres."
He impacted. Magic gathered, and exploded, incinerating the advancing foes and shockwaving to engulf the rest of the ohm in the area in flames.
