"Of course! That is the logical thing to do, yes?!" The elf was already on it, switching his focus to that of the swarm of projectile-hurling insects skittering onto the battlefield.

Almost at once globs of viscous, gastric liquid bubbled from the creatures and soared through the air in wide arcs. It splattered to the ground, burning grass, flowers and sizzling on the earth that was quickly pulling the liquid into the ground. Some type of acid? It seemed like it; that spelled bad news for all those who fought just beyond reach of the ranged Ohm.

Nokosi quickly removed a thicker, sturdier arrow from his quiver and attached a small, circular trap to it. The alchemical fire that was held within would be sure to serve as a small distraction while he picked them off. Aiming high, he pulled the string taut, then released and watched the arrow glide to its destination. It exploded on impact, sending sticky globs of red-orange fire every which way. It clung to anything it could--armor, hair, limbs, exposed skin, and continuously burned away at its victim.

With a lick of his lips, his tongue slid to the corner of his mouth and remained as he peered down at the tangle of bodies below and set up his next few shots. Two arrows this time; one a standard poison, while the other had a small explosive charge attached to it. After applying a bit of force, he knew he could follow up with a spread of your everyday shot.

Nokosi notched both arrows with practiced speed, aimed, then let them sing towards the Grenadier that was front and center. If he'd had the time, he would have sat and watched both charges go off with a sort of pleased glee.

The thing he loved about exploding arrows? You didn't have to aim for an instant kill for your shot to matter.
