"This? What? This?" He still clung to his stinging cheek with one hand, offended, and began patting down his bowtie. Then the tweed. Then his quite frankly impressive chin, nevermind the sheer amount of hair and there you had it: the new Doctor and his...Doctorness. "So you don't like it, then! Was the slap necessary?"
He rubbed at his cheek. Martha had a very good arm there, almost Rory Williams levels of good! Ouch! Probably would have it turn red in a few minutes, it was just that impressive, and really, he probably should've told Martha about his regeneration but somehow it slipped his mind and then Things kept coming up. From his experience, humans didn't always take to the whole showing up on their doorstep with a new face and hair thing. Obviously this was going to be a lot for Martha to take in. The Doctor lowered his hand from his cheek and gave Martha a positively wounded look.
