"Thank you, Celena," Cassie smiled at the dragon, grateful that Celena understood. She nodded. "I'd be happy to show you." She looked at her new friend curiously. "You can morph as well?" She'd never heard of dragons transforming into other forms in any of the stories that she had heard, but given that she'd have written dragons off as myths not too long ago and now she was speaking with one, she'd accept just about anything right now. "Are any of your people on the ship?" She hoped that the friendly dragon was not alone.

She looked around to make sure no one else was near and considered which morph to chose. She finally decided to showcase her Great Horned Owl morph. Owls were incredible birds. Fast, silent, and, although it wasn't dark now, their vision could cut through the darkness as though it wasn't even there. She was very fond of the morph.

Trying to keep the process from being too hard to stomach, although Celena must have understood what she was in for if she'd seen Marco morph, she tried to control the morph. First the wings grew and she began to shrink. Tail feathers sprouted as more feathers covered the rest of her body. From this point, there was little she could do to make the appearance any more appealing. Her feet were replaced with talons, her legs became bird-like, and her face became the owl's. It wasn't long before the morph was complete.

< I hope that didn't bother you too much. > she said worriedly. < It's not really a pleasant process at the best of times, but since you mentioned being interested in studying the process, I didn't move out of sight. I wasn't sure how much Marco showed you. >
