The alternative, a life with the people but rarely putting your own at risk for them does sound selfish, but I think they are both valid ways to 'change the world'. Ah, it is why I enjoy bards so very much!"

He looked fairly cheery about what he was speaking of, tilted his head slightly to the side when Kaya sighed. Was she upset about something but hiding it this entire time? How silly; he didn't think he would ever fully grasp why people hid their feelings so often. Didn't it just make things far more complicated?

Nokosi paused is mid-stride and released her hand, coiling it around her shoulders instead and pulling her closer to shorten the distance between the two. "I see," he said, looking down at her. "Do you care to talk about it?"
