The Carousel Boutique [Open]

Rarity stood in the simulation of The Carousel Boutique, recalling the colours and atmosphere of the place. A hologram of Opalescence was sitting on the table, swishing its tail and looking at Rarity.

"Do you think this gem would do, Opalescence?" She levitated a red gem and the cat blinked. "Or this one?" Rarity asked, levitating a blue one. The feline mewed and stretched.

The unicorn smiled and continued to play-work with the pony outfit she was currently pre-occupied with.

Pinkie had heard of the Sensoriums and what they could do, but this was the first time she had been able to try them out for herself. Her plan was to try and recreate Sugarcube Corner, so you can imagine her surprise when she stepped in and found herself in front of Rarity's boutique, instead.

"Hey! This thing is broken!" She announced loudly as she burst through the door, but then her demeanor changed immediately. "Rarity!"

She dashed over to her friend excitedly. "Hi Rarity! Applejack told me you were here too but I hadn't seen you, but now I have and this is great!"

She may have been a little startled by her appearance but Rarity greeted her friend happily. "Pinkie Pie, it's so good to see you!" The unicorn gave the pink pony a big hug.

"Rarity, did you hear? We're gonna go find the Home and tell them to give Equestria back!" Pinkie blurted out, already going a mile a minute. "Wow! Did you get it to do this all by yourself? It's like I'm really here at your boutique!"

Rarity nodded once more, still smiling. "Yes, Pinkie Pie. I heard that Princess Celestia is doing her best to do so."

She gestured to her surroundings and Opalescence. "They call it a 'simulation'. Just think about something and it appears before your eyes."

Oh, that would explain the table full of cupcakes that just materialized right in front of them.

"It's like MAGIC!"

Rarity nodded. "Indeed. I don't know how it works but as long as it reminds me of home, I'm content."

Opalescence jumped on the table of cupcakes to observe the sweet treats. Her paw was reaching out for one when Rarity levitated the white cat off the table. "Opalescence, that is unhygienic."

"It does MORE than just remind me of home, it's just LIKE being home!" More and more party decorations began to materialize all over Rarity's carefully reconstructed boutique. Hope you don't mind confetti all over the floor. Pinkie, undeterred by Opalescence, snagged a cupcake herself and took a bite. "WOW! This is good! Like, really good! Like, I just baked these good!"

She continued raving about her conjured cupcakes, not even noticing what her imagination was doing to the decor.

Rarity smiled at her friend but was getting a little exasperated by all the decorations everywhere. Her cat was mewing disapprovingly. "The decor is lovely, Pinkie Pie."

She levitated the cupcake and carefully took a bite. Indeed, it tasted just like the ones from Sugarcube Corner.
