Reading Time...! [Open]

It had been quite awhile since that mission had started and Vivio hadn't heard hide nor hair of them since that time. It did worry her quite a bit, especially after that message and Allenby's attempt to help them. For the moment, though, she needed something to distract herself with. Anything, really!

To that end, Vivio had made herself at home in her little workplace at the Media Library, reading various things she randomly picked up from the files across the room. Seeing as she has a big set of chips on a table nearby, Vivio's either intent on reading everything she can, or reading herself to sleep.

Care to bother her?

Alex ran around the Media Library looking for his favorite magazine. He couldn't find it. He saw the girl and waved.

Vivio took notice of Alex running around, turning her attention to him and returning the wave.

"Hi there! Are you looking for something?" she asked.

"Hi! Yes! I can't find Capewatcher Magazine! What if I miss something?"

A heavy sigh hangs in the air around him.

Vivio... Vivio now suddenly felt bad. The boy was obviously looking for a magazine he read. But, as far as she knew, there were no new copies being made. Even if they were, she was certain Stacy wouldn't make them appear.

"I...'m not sure if we have something like that here." she said, telling the truth.

"~Of course there isn't,~" the weary voice hanging around the boy says. "~Ignore him. He's 10.~"

Alex frowns. "Ifrit can be grouchy sometimes. I'm Alex."

Negi was headed to the library as well, humming to himself as he listened on a personal music player. It had been loaded with earth and alien songs and he was bopping his head to it as he entered.

"Vivio hi!" he exclaimed, waving.

"Negi, hi!" Vivio called out, waving to her friend. She couldn't help but notice the music player her was listening to. From what she's seen of him, that seemed a little out of place for him.

"What's with the player?"

"Ah this? I bought it on an impulse," replied Negi, plucking an earphone out of his ear. "I've been craving some music lately and when we were on XaXing, I picked it up just because I could. The vendor said it had over a thousand alien songs on it."

"Though I can't help but notice a lot of them are in Japanese..."

Vivio reached over to take the earphone out to listen to it. He was right - it was Japanese music being played.

"Maybe he thinks Japanese is alien?" she said.

"Well it was an alien planet. I guess it was supposed to be similar," admitted Negi as he lowered the volume a little. "Not bad though. There's some music I can't decipher."

Vivio couldn't help but chuckle. He was right, though - what may be normal for them would be alien to others.

"Music you can't decipher?" she said, blinking a bit. "Like what?"

"The language used in it," he clarified. "I can deal with the beat easily enough, but the syntax is very different than what I'm used to."

"Really? Can I hear?" Vivio said, curious.

"Sure! Here's the track." He scrolls to the third one and it's a beautiful song mixed with a little J-Pop (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oO4tbqYkgD0) type of music. "The language isn't something I'm familiar with."

It would probably be because it was Belkan.

As Vivio listens to the track, she can't help but indeed notice the language.

"It's... Belkan." she said. "Wow, you picked up a song from... well... home. My home."

"Really? It's a beautiful language," said Negi, listening to his on his end.

"It is, isn't it?" Vivio said, smiling a bit. "I wish I could speak it, but I'm so used to Japanese... or, well... the closest Mid-Childa could do..."

"Yeah that would be a point. I've always loved languages so listening to music in different ones is definitely a high point for me." admitted Negi, sitting down next to Vivio. "Besides, you looked like you needed cheering."
