Einhart sighed, taking a look around the clearing in the city that she had decided to use for training this time. It wasn't a destroyed building or had anything that could be potentially dangerous, although anyone flying would easily be able to find her.

At least this time Vivio wasn't going to have to worry about finding her.

So there Einhart was, sinking into a fighting stance as she started to concentrate, a magic circle appearing beneath her as she started to concentrate on a basic magic spell, before sending it, a small green ball of magic, flying into the air. She concentrated, making the ball of magic fly around in the air for a few moments, before dissipating into the air.

Her attention piqued by the use of familiar magic in the area, Caro hurries over from the aimless exploring she was doing. She's careful to just peek around the corner though; she's not about to put herself in danger!

If Einhart had noticed Caro's approach, she didn't say anything. She just worked on sending off another ball of magic, but this time sending it flying into a nearby piece of rubble, which promptly exploded.

Caro accidentally makes a little 'eep!' at seeing the display of power; not out of fear as much as surprise and recognition. She knows that magic style!

...But she's also given herself away. She clamps both hands over her mouth but it probably didn't do any good, so she steps out into the open.

"S-Sorry. I didn't mean to pry."

Einhart blinked, turning to look over in the direction of that eep... and blinked, looking at a familiar pink-haired girl. "Caro Ru Lushe?" she asked, taking a few steps towards the other girl. "I wasn't aware that you had been released from the pods."

Caro starts to feel relieved -- this person knows her! -- but wait.

Nervously, "Y-you know me?"

Einhart blinked, looking over at her for a few moments. "We've met once... though it seems like you're from closer in our timeline to Nanoha-san and Fate-san rather than myself and Vivio."

Blinking a few times, "oh! Are you Miss Einhart? Vivio told me about you!" Caro smiles, very friendly all of a sudden. A friend of Vivio's was a friend of hers.

Einhart nodded. "I am."

Well, at least Caro wasn't having that much of a problem with her knowing her. Though she had to wonder how awkward this would make things, to say the absolute least. "How old was Vivio from before you woke up here on the ship?"

Caro thinks for a second. "Six. And now she's my age, or maybe even older." It was more than a bit disorienting. "But she explained that I've been asleep for a long time, and that Stacy plays with time, so." That explained it well enough for her. Friends were friends!

Einhart nodded, smiling a bit. "Yes. The ship does do that. I think I'm a bit further along our timeline than Vivio is herself, but not by much. For us it's probably only the difference of a day or two."

"It's all a little strange." That makes Caro the youngest now, maybe. Which... well, she's a little used to that, but even so. She still wants to protect Vivio, even if she has her own device and everything.

"But I'm glad to meet you! Vivio told me you two are sharing a room."

Einhart nodded. "Yeah. We are. It was... a bit difficult to get used to at first. Though it's better than us both being alone now."

But well, maybe getting on a different topic would be a good idea. "Have you been adjusting here alright?"

"Difficult?" She -- realizes too late that maybe that's too personal, and flushes, hurriedly answering her question instead.

"Mm! So far, Serg-- er, Rein has showed me around and I've learned that Captain Fate and Captain Nanoha are on a mission."

Einhart nodded. "I'm used to living alone. My parents... aren't alive anymore, so I had an apartment all to myself back on Midchilda."

"That's good. Hopefully the two of them will come back from that mission soon though. I haven't been hearing good things about what was going on down there..."

"Oh. I'm really sorry." Genuinely; she knows what it's like to be all alone.

Which is why the second piece of information shocks her, visibly. "You... haven't?"

Einhart shook her head, not reacting to Caro's words of sympathy. There was no point, after all. "Vivio didn't tell you? From what I heard on one message before the comms to the planet were blocked off that the world there is run off of slave labor from clones. And well... apparently those of our crew who are clones were branded when they were first got there."

"Vivio really didn't take it well..."

"No, she didn't." Rein didn't either. They must not have wanted her to worry about it on her first day? And Fate... what Caro knew about her past and project F was enough to be worrisome. Caro looks down as she answers, "I should talk to her."

And brightening a little, forcing herself somewhat, "But I'm sure Captains Nanoha and Fate can handle it. They'll manage to help everyone and get back here before we know it." Faith in her friends is something Caro has in spades.

Einhart nodded. "That might help. I... well, I really don't know how to talk about things like this. How to actually... comfort people."

Caro looks a little confused, but is understanding as well, "that's okay. Everyone is good at something different, right? Like Subaru is good at jumping in, Tiana is good at leading, and I'm good at helping them out when they need it." It was the best example that sprang to mind -- although she did not mention Erio, since she missed him quite a bit.

Einhart nodded. "I guess. It's still a bit upsetting, not knowing what to do to help my friend though..." Einhart actually had almost said 'only' friend there, which was pretty much true. On the ship, and even back home, there weren't many people that she would call friends. Not yet, they were all acquaintances at best.

Nodding, "Yes, it is." She's remembering another situation involving Vivio, when Nanoha was so sad over Jail Scaglietti kidnapping her.

"I know that everything will be fine, though. Sometimes just doing happy things with someone helps them to be happier." A simple suggestion, but the best one that comes to mind.

Einhart blinked, looking over at Caro for a few moments. "Is... is it really that simple?"

"Sometimes!" Not always, but Caro thinks at least it's a start. "But if that doesn't work, you just keep trying."

((OOC: Forgive my late! Between vacations and LJ downtime I've been away a while. If you don't want to continue the thread I understand!))

Einhart just nodded. "Alright. I'll try that. Thank you."

((OOC: Hey, no problem. Now, how to get Einhart to be more interesting and less "ummm...." here. Sorry about that.))

"It's really great that you want to help her -- I know she'll appreciate the effort no matter what!" The Captains taught all of them well, after all, so of course Vivio has a great heart.

Einhart smiled. "That's true. It sounds like her..."

Smiling back!

Although... a thought comes to her, and she tries very hard to think of a tactful way to say it.

"Is it... okay if I ask how you know everyone? I mean, since I'm a little behind."

Einhart blinked, blushing a bit. "It's... alright. I actually met Vivio, Corona, and Lio through Nove, Subaru, and Teana. I only met you and Eiro Monodial briefly during a training trip that Vivio and her parents invited me and the rest of her friends on."
