Cleaning Up. [open]

It had been a while since Hoshi first discovered the beystadium here on Stacy and she knew it had to be cleaned out of all the things strewn about inside. She did want to get it at least working the way it was supposed to be so that she could begin the beyblading lessons she continually talked about since she first woke up here.

And, so, she had her hair tied up in a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes, as well as dressed in her usual white t-shirt and black shorts that she used for training. There was already a small pile of garbage outside the stadium, mostly items she deemed to be useless for the stadium itself, but it could always benefit the crew in some way, but there were trash bags from the teams' locker rooms in with the other items.

She wondered what else she could potentially find in here, since the possibilities were endless!

( OOC: Here's what the various rooms look like in the stadium:

Main Area/Stadium, hallway with a lavatory, television screen announcing which teams are up (currently turned off), the entrance, another hallway. Just ignore emo!Takao and entrance where the teams would come in.

Hoshi will also be working on repairing a few things here and there with the arena itself so that there's more electricity around than there is at the current moment. )

"Yo," she greeted, brightening up herself. It was always a good thing to meet new people.

"I'm Hikari Hoshi, last name, first. It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"I'm Jade Harley! First name, last name." She giggled, copying what Hoshi was doing. "It's nice to meet you, too!"

She returned the giggle with one of her own. "Nice to meet you, Jade!" she stated, itself warm with the greeting. "Can I help you out with anything?"

Jade shook her head at that-- the only thing she had was a question. "Um... what is this place?"

"It's a stadium from home. What takes place in here are beyblade matches that are conducted between two or more people, and the first one to either knock out the opponent's top or stop spinning is declared the loser and the one who remains is the winner. What I'm in the process of doing right now is cleaning it up and trying to fix what parts of it are damaged," she explained, making sure to cover all of her bases here.

"That sounds really interesting! Do you need help cleaning?" It didn't hurt to offer!

"Ah, that would be a big help! Thank you!" Normally, Hoshi said that she had a handle on it, but having people to help out made the goal of teaching beyblading to others on board came just that much faster.

"Um... where do you want me to start?" She wasn't sure where to even start in a place this big-- it would definitely take awhile, she could tell.

"Well... What's number one on my list is to make sure that the electricity in here's all operational. Are you okay with that stuff, or no?" she asked, having another option in mind if mechanical stuff wasn't up Jade's alley.

She perked up at that-- that was something she was good at. "Oh, I can do that! I really like that kind of stuff."

Oh, you can practically see the excitement coming from her. "Oh, thank you! I'll do what I can to pay you back!" she cheered, wanting to pick Jade up right then and there and give her a big hug.

Seeing Hoshi's excitement made her pretty happy! And it would give her something to do, too, since she hadn't completely settled down on the ship yet.

"You don't have to do anything! I'm okay with just helping you."

Hoshi grinned at Jade before thinking of something. There was always work to be done at Engineering, and if Jade was good with working with electrical items, then...

"Well, how does one meal on me sound? It can be anything you want!"

"Really? You don't have to do that, though!"

... Although, even a small piece of cake would be kind of nice if they had it! It's been something she's wanted ever since GLaDOS lied about it.

"Really! I can make a full course meal for you, no sweat."

And, of course she could make a little cake. Had Hoshi known about the GLaDOSing, she definitely would have sympathized since she still hadn't forgot about what the AI lied about.

"Are you really sure? I mean it when I say you don't have to!"

Jade wanted to make sure Hoshi was sure about it, because that was a really nice thing to do! And she was willing to do everything for free.

"I'm totally sure!"

For her, cooking was enjoyable and she wanted to extend the olive branch here, and the thing she wanted to do was make a meal for her newest friend.

"Well... okay! As long as it isn't a problem."

She gave Hoshi a huge smile at that. "Where should I start working?"

"It isn't," she assured her for the last time.

"Well, there's a control room that's downstairs in the basement. I can lead you there if you'd like!"

"Okay!" She nodded, she really liked working with this kind of stuff, so any chance to do it was awesome for her. And she'd be able to help someone out while doing it! "I'll try to help you as much as I can!"

"Thank you so much! This really means a lot," Hoshi replied, happily walking over to the basement. Since the last time she was in here, the lights that she found with Lash were still operational, which was really good. And, once there, she handed one of them to Jade for her to have.

"Let me know if there's anything you need my help on, too. I'm learning about mechanics and engineering, so anything you can teach me would be excellent."

Jade followed Hoshi to the basement, still watching her surroundings with a look of awe. Everything seemed so cool. She took the light that Hoshi offered her, too-- something told her that she'd need it.

"Okay! It shouldn't take me too long to figure this out." She was confident about that, at least, since Jade was always confident with her ability to work on this kind of stuff. She was more than willing to help Hoshi, too. "And I can do that, too!"

Hoshi took a small glance just to see what Jade's reaction to the stadium was, determining that she was awestruck, which to her was a very good thing. Hopefully she would be able to influence the others on the ship in the same way she did with Jade.

"Awesome!" She noted that she was confident, which to her was always a good thing. And, she couldn't help but continue grinning. "Thank you so much for that, too!"

"It's not a problem! I don't mind helping people out when they need it." She giggled a bit, before getting ready to get to work. It didn't seem too different from what she was used to back home, at least-- potentially, it was even simpler than what she had normally worked with!

Hoshi giggled, watching Jade work and also helping shine the light for her to have more light to work with. She did make mental notes here and there to see what Jade was doing so that she could do the same later on.
