Kaya laughed, moving a little farther away, but finding, now that he had the ability to do something like that, staying away from him was going to require a bit more effort on her part. She could definitely already see he was catching up, and though Kaya was from from being a girl who lost easily, she genuinely wanted to win.

She moved to the other direction, not keeping in mind that instead of trying to cut her off he was going to let her do all the work. Moving with the air currents was hard enough: getting away when you were taking too many strides was another matter altogether.

Before she could quite stop herself, she was headed in his direction.
