"Listening to others, considering well what they say" (Part 3: Maingate Hotel)
The Maingate Hotel was pretty extravagant, and an entire section of it had been eked out for the crew's use during their stay. They had several suites, three communal areas, a conference room, their own kitchen with a chef on call if they required her.
They were all teleported from the main teleport pad of the hotel into the conference room, which was a large enough room to be able to hold a group their size and had plenty of chairs arranged in a circular pattern so they could mostly all face each other or whoever was in the middle of the room.
Everyone had to settle down so they were all able to talk, and the meeting itself would have to be carefully controlled so they wouldn't all talk over each other. But they were up for the task, right?
[ooc: Guardian Setup, General Mingling, Clone Checkup, Newbie Briefing, General Briefing, More Mingling, Back to the Meeting, and The Idea Guy sections are open. Backup characters introduced to the plot can join in the mingling subthreads if they want. The opening of new subthreads will be announced here and the ooc. Please read the linked OOC post for a plot timeline.]

Re: General Mingling
He looked up at her. "Eat?" Suddenly, his stomach made a loud noise, betraying its current lack of contents. Hana looked down at it. "Shut up, you."
He sighed. "Man, I could go for something to eat."
Re: General Mingling
There was a kitchen here complete with a chef who looked to be preparing finger foods and snacks for the group out there.
"This guy is supposed to make us whatever we say." Ruff explained. Someone had mentioned it to her earlier and even after a hefty meal she felt like she could eat some more.
Re: General Mingling
When they reached the kitchen he eyed the snacks hungrily but forced himself to ignore them and instead question Ruff. "Do they have, like, any bigger slabs of meat?" His stomach rumbled in agreement to this query.
Re: General Mingling
Ruff repeated the question and within a few minutes a couple of fat pot roast sandwiches sat in front of the duo, complete with gravy and vegetables.
"If Diplomats get to eat like this all the time I might need to change jobs." Ruff joked practically drooling at the smell of the fresh cooked meat in her sandwich.
Re: General Mingling
He quickly stuffed half the sandwich into his mouth, chewing and savoring the flavor, gravy and juices dribbling down his chin, not that he cared much. They were in the kitchen with just the staff and he doubted Ruff bothered about manners herself.
Re: General Mingling
Ruffnut ate like a real Viking, taking the biggest bite she could manage which was about half the sandwich, and gulping down some milk after she had chewed and swallowed, and nearly choked on the amount.
"That...is amazing. I don't know what kind of meat this is but I want a heard of it so I can eat every last one."
Re: General Mingling
He looked baffled how someone couldn't have ever had beef before. Neigh. He now looked horrified. "It's just cow. It's like... One of the best meats ever!"
He paused and put down his sandwich to explain. "You know. Cows. Like, you must have those highland cow things. The ones that can survive in the cold." He fixed his hair so it covered his eyes and made horns with his fingers, trying his best, and oddly doing a pretty good job, of becoming a lookalike. Re: General Mingling
"Besides, if you think about it we eat almost anything on our own planet, it just doesn't seem weird to us coz we live there. These guys might freak out if they saw one of your sheep, since they might not have 'em here." He then laughed at the idea of a whole city having a freak out as a sheep munched on a lawn.
Re: General Mingling
Once the chef was busy enough on the other side of the kitchen and Ruff had swallowed she muttered to Hana, "So, what about that branding junk huh?"
Re: General Mingling
"I don't care what we're here to do. They need to pay for that." He really did understand the point that Hit Girl and some of the others had put across, it made sense in some aspect, but he couldn't just let something horrible happen to his friends and just move along like nothing happened.

Hana's face made way for a little smile, breaking his dark demeanor as he looked at Ruffs mustache.

Hana then finished his own sandwich, his stomach feeling much better.
