Blast from the Past! [open]
There was nothing like good old walking to clear one's head and that was what Hoshi was doing. Her hands were stuffed in her vest's pockets, her head cast down. She wasn't sad -- far from it, actually! She just had a lot of thoughts racing through her head, a smile on her face. Right! Gotta keep on thinking on the positives!
She didn't feel as tired as she did! That was a plus!
... Oh, this was useless! No matter what she did, her mind was just too jumbled up by everything. This behavior definitely caught Seraphiel's eye and he nipped on her finger. It wasn't hard enough to break the skin, though; just enough to get her attention, that was all.
"Ow! Seraphiel, did you really have to do that?" she asked, frowning at her holy beast. The only response she was given was a deadpan glance and the beyblader sighed. "Okay, okay. Fine, I'll stop moping. Does that work for you?"
Satisfied, Seraphiel nodded his head and went to rest on her shoulder. This earned him a bit of a grovel before it stopped. Wait, what was that--? Hoshi took off running, Seraphiel following right behind her. It couldn't be...
She stopped, panting a little to catch her breath. It was an arena, and not just any old arena! It was one from home! It seemed different going to it now, though. There weren't any teams here, no fans, no little kids who were wide-eyed with hope of seeing their favorite beyblader come out strong and out on the top, none of that. Although, she could hear the distant cheers and shouts from the fans that were waiting for the match to begin, which comforted her some.
The beyblader walked inside and went to the locker rooms first, seeing the tables, chairs, couches, as well as televisions that the other teams could comfortably watch the match unfold in the rooms themselves. Then, she went to Holy Enoch's locker room just to check it out. Her plans for her team were still written on the white board with diagrams to follow, It felt so weird to be in here without Sei, Skye, Ami, and Petra, though. Sighing once more, she went to go check on the dish itself.
When she arrived, she noticed it was dark and she assumed it could have possibly been due to the electricity being down in this part of the building. She decided to take the photograph out of her teammates and sit down on the floor, gazing up at the ceiling itself to remember all the matches and experiences she shared with her team. It was like they really were here with her...
( OOC: Okay, so! There's various rooms in the arena itself. There's the locker rooms where there might be beyblade parts or other items scattered about, then there's the main area where the different platforms would be used for the matches [where Hoshi is in right now], then a "VIP Box" like area where Volkov would be standing to observe the matches for his own discretion, and lavatories, stuff like that.
If one of the engineering people would like to, there should be a database with information on every single beyblader, their holy beasts, as well as a randomizer that would pick out teams to compete against one another. The electricity in a few parts of the arena is either fried or working sporadically, as well. In other areas, it should be working!
Main Area/Stadium, hallway with a lavatory, television screen announcing which teams are up (currently turned off), the entrance, another hallway. Just ignore emo!Takao and entrance where the teams would come in.
Have any questions? PM me or IM me! )

"Um, we should almost be there!" she answered, reading the signs that were around the arena itself. Then, she came upon the basement door and sighed a breath of relief.
"Do you have a flashlight or something, Lash? I'm not sure if the lighting works in this part."
Woops wrong account.
Oh wait. She couldn't use her sentai powers right now, so that wouldn't work. Drats.
"Uh, think you can get your guardian thingie to pry those down to us? They'll give us some light to see."
S'all good!
"Oh, yeah. Seraphiel, go grab those lights!" she commanded as the eagle jumped off of her shoulder and flew with rather incredible speed, grabbing the white lights for his mistress. He then returned and placed them in her hands.
"There we go," she said, handing Lash one of the lights.
Failure to tag forever
"Coast looks clear! You come'n?"
It's totally okay! I live off of backtagging.
"Thanks for looking out there, Lash," she said, smiling at her.
no subject
"This is it! Now if I can find the main power switches, this should be a piece of cake."
no subject
"What should I be on the lookout for?" she asked, looking up at the machine in front of them.
GODDAMN I SWEAR
"Big red buttons," she said flatly. "Unless they are dumb designers that don't level their stuff well. Big red buttons are always the way to go if you ask me, tee hee hee!"
It's okay!! /hugs the crap out of you
Oh, who was she kidding. Okay, some logic here was temporarily thrown to the curb.
"Fine, I'll look for a big red button somewhere around here!"
no subject
"There it is! Let's just hope all the electrical power lines are still up and functioning..."
no subject
"Want me to shine my light on for you just to make sure everything's okay with the wiring and that junk?"
no subject
"Everything seems good on this end..."
Touching cables that might have been faulty and killed her; now that was thinking smart!
no subject
Though, wasn't there a rule stated that when you touched faulty wiring, you had to wear the right equipment? But, maybe Lash didn't fear anything, so...
Anyway, she was going to watch over your shoulder, enthralled with what the other one was doing.
no subject
"Well, I'm willing to bet you know what comes next, huh?"
no subject
"Everything is turned on now?" she asked, a little bit too excited about the stadium working just like it was supposed to.

Now, hopefully, this thing didn't blow up in her face.
no subject
...but a fuse did explode farther down the line.
no subject
"Something went wrong, didn't it?"
no subject
Okay really, she hadn't expected that but like she'd tell Hoshi.
"Fixing this should be a snap!"
no subject
Even so, she nodded and looked around to see what her talents could be used on. "Is there something I can help out with in the meanwhile?"
no subject
"Naaah. You can twiddle you thumbs in wait, but even then you won't get to see much of that action either!"
A tiny kit was out and she already was fixing the cables.
"See? Piece of cake." And back to the big read button. "Here goes!"
A large hum. It got louder and loud and when it felt like nothing could happen but something exploded again, a click.
Light.
Light everywhere.
"TEE HEE HEE! What did I tell you?" She raised her arms in victory. "No electronics can resist the power of the wunderkind!"
no subject
She waited to see just what else would happen with the electricity before she noticed that it seemed suddenly bright in the entire arena. So, naturally, this made Hoshi squeal in delight.
"Oh, Lash, thank you!" And, sorry, but as a grateful gesture, she was going to hug you and let go. She was one of those kinds of people.
