Partnership. [closed]

As promised, Hoshi went over to the Atori Teahouse with the needed items in hand: the vinegar to get Philip out of the can he was stuck in and the two items she picked up for him as well. They were as wrapped as they were going to be, what with not having any wrapping paper on board. Not that it deterred her, though! It was the thought that counted.

She dismounted the HardBoiler when she reached the Atori Teahouse and then went inside, seeing her partner in the main room.

"Let me get a glass," she said, going into the kitchen to get a glass for Philip, the two items she brought over laid on one of the tables. When she returned, she poured him a glass of vinegar and handed it to him for him to take.

"Thanks," replied Philip, taking a drink of vinegar. He was fairly wedged into the can but a few wiggles later and he finally got free of it. "A little better. Thanks."

"A hat!" exclaimed Philip, opening it up. It was similar to the Windscale hats Shotarou wore, but in pale green. It looked fairly good on him.

The second one, he opened up and in it was a carved box. When he opened it up, it began to play a little tune of its own. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYBzFxOMKBw)

"It's wonderful."

"That's true. And I'm glad your safe too," said Philip.

He hadn't quite shaken off the sense of forbidding when he looked up any data on the other mission. It was nagging on him because while it was obvious that he wouldn't find anything, all he found was a sealed book on it. He rather hoped anyone there was all right.

"I figured it was a test from what the mission seemed like to pan out," replied Philip. "But go ahead. I haven't kept up with all of my research recently."

Philip knew it was unfinished, but the thoughts were incredibly compelling to him. Certainly an encounter with the Ohm would be in the future, and a battle no less to test their mettle but...

"There's something else in there, isn't it?"

"That would be expected," said Philip thoughtfully. "If it deemed to show you all something from the future, it was possibly giving an idea of what could or couldn't happen."

"That's entirely up to the people who act on it," said Philip. "There's always possibilities, right?"

"That's true. Never lose the chance we can do it," said Philip with a light smile.

"It's all right," said Philip, nodding. "You look tired. Why don't you go get some rest?"

"Not at all. Go ahead and rest up. I'll wake you if there's anything needed." said Philip, gesturing to the couch. "You could use my bed, but it's also covered in books."

"It takes practice," he replied, moving to sit down and read again while she slept.
