The Hidden Village: Passing the Time
The crew had made it to the village where the Tapestry was supposedly hidden, but for now, they had to wait. According to the Rom, the path to where the Tapestry was hidden would only open once night fell.
That left them with a fairly good chunk of time on their hands, as well as a rather large Rom settlement to explore in the meantime.
It was rather hard to believe the expansive village was completely isolated from the outside world, but somehow it still thrived. Many younger Rom could be seen flying to and from the many small buildings built right into the forest. Despite the fairly advanced look of all the technology spread throughout the village, everything appeared to be rather ancient.
Still, there was quite a bit to do to pass the time. The central marketplace of the village was rather active, and the crew could always use more supplies. There were also a number of places to get food and drinks.
Most of all, it would be a good opportunity to learn more about the Tapestry and the Rom--along with their connection with the crew's destiny--by asking around. After all, if they were going through all this trouble for the damn thing, they might as well find out more about it.

"Wow... it's surprising..."

And lest anyone thing they were intending to be anything less than professional about it, he glanced around. "Would anyone else care to participate? My interest is primarily magical, so having other disciplines might be of use."
no subject
"Perhaps, if it's needed, we can coordinate attacks based on strengths and what would be most compatible, as well?"

She gave an easy smile across to Hoshi, "Just bear in mind, they may not intend a test of 'worthiness' to be offensive power alone," She commented as she swept her gaze through the village, after all, to be worthy had many possible meanings.
no subject
He rather suspected this test of 'worthiness' would be brutal at best. Given the circumstances, if the crew was expected to prove 'worthy' in any sense of being able to alter the very destiny of the multiverse itself, at this point...

"I'm still in the process of learning more about the power from my partner, Philip, so I'm not entirely sure if Double can fly just yet," she explained. "As for scouting, I can try my best."

"I shall speak to some of the locals as well, see what they know," She commented as she watched one of the Rom flit from one building to the other, "If there is a market as well, we may yet be able to acquire more supplies for the ship, I've my gateway should supplies need to be rapidly transported, as long as there is no interference within the village,"

"Either way, four seems like enough for scouting. Shall we be off, then?"
He reached out to touch Celena's shoulder, just for the sake of the contact before they got to business proper.

"And, yes. Let's go."

Scooping up the backpack she secured it to her upper forelimb, lowering herself to allow one of them up onto her back.

He mirrored her gesture as well, so that whichever of the the pair didn't choose Celena could climb aboard. And gave brief thanks that Celena was not the jealous sort.

But, those thoughts were spared for another day, anyway.

"Ready when you are Aibghalien, hold on back there," she gave a dip of her head and crouched back ready to spring to flight once Aibghalien had taken to the air.

"Down, Hakkar, I think it may be alright."

It was just one of those things one did when one had to sit through linear time and while he wouldn't call himself necessarily bored, he had to admit he was looking for something to do. The Doctor shrugged out of his jacket as he snooped his way around one of the walls, looking about two seconds (maybe less) from giving the surface a good lick and seeing what that could tell him. Tempting...
All in all, he just hoped this mission would go a lot more smoothly than the last one. The Rom seemed polite and well-adjusted. So had the Oryans, not that he necessarily faulted them for what happened back there. Put would-be goddesses, a big planet sized ego and a firepit that was a poor excuse for a volcano and of course you'd get...well, that mess. The Doctor moved further down the wall and stopped to run his hand along the seams...or almost lack of, they were that smooth and flush up against one another that it almost felt like one piece if you didn't look too closely. Interesting workmanship!

"Let's see," she noted. "What else do we need?" The plants were good to help continually replentish supplies, but what else could she get to extend their food's shelf life?

Now, just what was she going to get here? Well, while Philip couldn't physically come over here, there was always the nice gesture to get something for her partner. But, what exactly? There weren't any books here as far as she could tell, however... Ah! She picked up a strange looking item, observing it and weighing it in her hands.
"Think he'd like this, Seraphiel?" she asked her holy beast who cawed in response, which could very well be interpreted as a 'yes!' "All right, then. I'll get him this."
She then caught a hat -- or what looked like a hat. Either way, she went over to it and picked it up. "Let's get him this, too, Seraphiel."
Seraphiel cawed happily, agreeing with her choices.
All that came next was stocking up on stuff for the Masaki house for the next time something like this happened. "Hm... Wonder what else we need..." she pondered aloud, pursing her lips together in thought.

Finding Hoshi and her companion doing some shopping of her own, Celena decided there wouldn't be much harm in seeing just what they had found so far, or what specifically they might be looking for, "Found much of interest so far?" she asked with interest as she stepped up to the two, whether they had seen her in elven form before though was another matter.
no subject
And, hey, it couldn't hurt to offer something. "Would you like to see if there's anything you can take back with you?"
Sorry for the delay!
Casting her gaze across the market before settling back on Hoshi before dipping her head, "I see no harm in it, indeed I've little doubt there are many interesting items to be found here,"
Equally as sorry for my own delay!
She nodded again, shifting some of the items in her arms that she had. "All right! Oh, I'm Hikari Hoshi, last name, first. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Not a problem at all!
"A pleasure to meet you too Hoshi, I'm Celena Vantari, this is my elven form, courtesy of Aibghalien," she replied with a grin as she showed the ring on one of her fingers.
no subject
"Nice to meet you as well, Celena! And, I do believe you're the first elf I've met," she responded, noticing the ring. "Does that help you change in between forms?"
no subject
She looked back to Hoshi with amusement clear in her eyes as she chuckled softly, "I would say Aibghalien takes that honor," she replies before taking a step back, "It does indeed, it allows me to shift between this form and my true form, that you saw earlier,"
"Polymorph, Mebghail" She stated simply, within a moment her form expanded back to her true draconic form.
no subject
It was true there were mythical creatures in her world, what with holy beasts being rampant. Yet, even with that, there weren't any who could shapeshift into a human or an elf.
"That's super cool, Celena!"
no subject
"I'm glad you think so, Aibghalien would be no doubt pleased to hear that as well. Though I have not been able to yet master shape changing on my own, the ring Aibghalien made,"
"He also made one for himself, to allow him to take on a draconic form similar to my own,"
no subject
"I can turn into another form myself, but it's not as majestic as the one you have. It's what I was speaking of before we did our little excursion."

Her arms were crossed as she watched the others moved about. Maybe she needed someone to talk to her to wind her down.
