Only Way is Up. [open, bendytimed before Tapestry]

After the failed attempt with Xtreme, at least in her eyes, Hoshi wondered what could be wrong with her unable to sustain the henshin for as long as she could with the other forms. Although, on one of the days where she busied herself around Stacy, she came upon the answer. Of course it had to be that! Her endurance and stamina waned because she went without a good beyblade match in months.

Sure, she trained during the mornings as well as a little bit at night, but without some good old fashioned beyblading, which was high intensity and fast paced all on its' own, she wouldn't be in her tip top shape that she normally would be.

And so, that's what led her to the Sensoriums once more. It wouldn't have the same effect as it would back home, but she would try her best to replicate it.

The walls dissipated for an arena, just like the one she found here on Stacy, but instead of just one opponent, she was up against three beybladers. Then, with a swift movement, she grabbed both her beyblade out of its' pouch and her launcher, setting the two of them up. She stood with her beyblade with the tip pointed up to the ceiling, her legs spread out. After a three second countdown, all of the beybladers released their respective beyblades into the dish, ready to give it their all.

"You can do it, Seraphiel! Show them what for!" she called out, ready to get her game backto where it was normally.

"Argh!" Well, she expected that this wasn't going to go as smooth as her beyblading did, having quite a bit of unfamiliarity with the tonks. So, her's took a decent sized hit and looked to be struggling to continue on.

And that's when Mar's charged back in, cannon firing as it strafed nimbly around the mine it had dropped.

Oh, that was right. Hoshi never called Seraphiel back and he had quite a bit of spin on him left still.

With a mischievous grin, she moved one hand off of the controller and positioned that hand to her beyblade, it ramming over to Maridian's tonk to hopefully take it off course.

"Oh, is THAT how you want to play it!?"

In one seamless motion Mar pulled the shield off his back and hurled it. Holy energy sheathed it as it spun towards the beyblade with deadly accuracy.

Well, Hoshi signed herself up for something definitely out of the worlds! She made sure to jump out of the way of the shield so that she wouldn't end up being hit by it.

The beyblade jumped up, suspended in motion by the air and landed down on the ground in a few seconds, spinning just as proud as it was previously.

The shield spun back into his hand; he caught it with casual ease. "Nice try, but you'll have to do better to beat a Blood Knight!"

FIRE CANNON.

Hoshi realized that she was out of her league with this one, and she decided to untie her bandanna on her forehead to wave it in an 'I surrender!' way.

"Okay, okay! You win!"

"Rematch?" he asked, backing up his tonk. "I DID play a little unfairly with you, since I know these, after all. You'd probably win quite as easily against me if I picked up your disc-fighter hobby."

"Hm..." Hoshi considered her options with this before deciding that something that they both knew would be probably better.

"Say, what else do you like to do other than play tonks?"

"Oh, I'm used to being in combat, honestly. Either taking hits or giving them." That was a pretty narrow field of interests -- except on Azeroth, where it could comprise an individual's entire day, quite profitably.

Well, that certainly narrowed down what things Hoshi herself was interested in, but she definitely could work with it! "Would you like to train with me one day?"

But, it did hit home for her, other than the taking hits part. She still worried about her father -- or actually, both of her parents. She hoped they were sleeping in the pod caverns somewhere.

"Sure! I'm always up for training! What's your preferred method?" Of course, he was imagining her using a bow or gun -- after all, she had a 'pet', however technically. Naturally she would attack from a distance!

"Hand-to-hand combat sometimes, but other times, I like to do endurance and weight training, like what I was doing here initially," Hoshi answered, giving Maridian a little nervous smile.

Getting down and dirty was definitely her way of fighting.

"Using your disc thing counts as endurance and weight training?" He peered curiously at it, trying to deduce the connection.

"Yeah. When I give my beyblade verbal commands, it acts upon what I've told it to. It's a pretty high contact sport in of itself. For weight training, it's just to make sure that I'm still in tip-top shape," she explained in a way that would make sense.

"That's pretty crazy." But most things he was familiar with fit that same description, so what was he gonna do, complain? "I'm all right with just punching things, but most of my serious training I do with a weapon. A lot of my techniques need to be channeled through one, or they don't work properly."

"It is, but then again, it's nice to have some variety here and there," Hoshi stated. "And, ooh. I guess how we're similar is that without my beyblade or holy beast, I'm more or less a sitting duck, and considering the circumstances we're pitted against... Yeah."

"Does that come up often for you? I mean, I know it's kind of hard to engage an interplanetary menace with a sword, but at least it's pretty hard to separate me from the thing."

Actually, he was of the private opinion that she had the better weapon in this case, given its size and potential destructive capacity.

"Well, back on my world, the only things we had to keep an eye out for was..." Well, there was the threat of terrorism and other things, but what affected the beyblade community was something she really didn't want to share, but-- "Was a bad man."

She couldn't really forgive Volkov for what he did to the beyblading community, on top of all the other evils he committed, though it was nice to see him knocked down a few pegs after the world was saved. Now that was a funny moment, if she ever had to pick one out.

Then again, remembering that made her miss her team that much more, unfortunately. They were brilliant people who came into their own skins and supported her through the very end.

He titled his head a little, trying, for the sake of his own amusement, to apply the term 'bad man' to the Lich King, or Kil'jaeden. After a moment of that, he couldn't help but grin. "Sounds like an easy world compared to Azeroth. No offense!"

"It probably would be! I've only heard of Azeroth from Ronnae, but that's about it," Hoshi replied, chuckling a little bit.

"Oh, Ronnae's good people," he said, nodding. "There are some other Azerothians around here, but they avoid me. Just like on Azeroth!"

"May I ask why?" Avoiding people didn't sound right in her book, especially when they were friendly annd didn't seem like a bad person.

"Oh, they think I'm crazy," he said as casually as if he'd been describing himself as male or elven.

"And are you?" she asked in a sort of deadpan way. As far as she knew, Maridian himself didn't appear as crazy, and she'd know about that.
