Only Way is Up. [open, bendytimed before Tapestry]
( OOC: As well as a couple days after this log. )
After the failed attempt with Xtreme, at least in her eyes, Hoshi wondered what could be wrong with her unable to sustain the henshin for as long as she could with the other forms. Although, on one of the days where she busied herself around Stacy, she came upon the answer. Of course it had to be that! Her endurance and stamina waned because she went without a good beyblade match in months.
Sure, she trained during the mornings as well as a little bit at night, but without some good old fashioned beyblading, which was high intensity and fast paced all on its' own, she wouldn't be in her tip top shape that she normally would be.
And so, that's what led her to the Sensoriums once more. It wouldn't have the same effect as it would back home, but she would try her best to replicate it.
The walls dissipated for an arena, just like the one she found here on Stacy, but instead of just one opponent, she was up against three beybladers. Then, with a swift movement, she grabbed both her beyblade out of its' pouch and her launcher, setting the two of them up. She stood with her beyblade with the tip pointed up to the ceiling, her legs spread out. After a three second countdown, all of the beybladers released their respective beyblades into the dish, ready to give it their all.
"You can do it, Seraphiel! Show them what for!" she called out, ready to get her game backto where it was normally.
Care to watch or ask what she's doing?

Probably best for him to be quiet for the moment, then, as Hoshi looked like she was concentrating--he'd no more interrupt her than he'd bother a student of his who was in the middle of a chemistry experiment.

"Seraphiel! Cast judgment upon all ye who are guilty!" she bellowed out as a bright light emerged from her beyblade, summoning Seraphiel in his full glory from it.
Seraphiel slammed his cross down on one of the holy beasts, turning to try to aim another hit on another holy beast, but it managed to swerve right out of the way before it was critically hit.
She definitely was focused and concentrated on the match on hand, wanting to improve on her skills more than they already were.

Stephen rubbed his chin, pale eyes darting back and forth, watching the battle. He even allowed himself a little fist pump when Seraphiel got a good hit off.
Still, it was sort of creepy with how quiet he was being.
no subject
However, she took her eyesight off of the match for a few brief seconds to see Stephen in he stands. She gave him a smile and was about to wave to him, but taking her eyes off at the task at hand cost her.
Seraphiel took a good sized hit, which affected the beyblader herself. Hoshi grunted as she was sent tumbling to her back at the impact. She winced before picking herself up again and making a motion for her beyblade to go on the offensive, obviously not too deterred by being sent to her back.
no subject
Did he really miss teaching so much? Huh. Maybe he did. It was something to think about in his copious amounts of spare time.
no subject
"Seraphiel, it's time to kick this up a notch! Spin around them!" she bellowed, seeing Seraphiel pick up a nice, easy pace before getting faster and faster in his movements.
no subject
Well, that was why he was here, wasn't it? Stephen made a mental note to ask her later.
no subject
Hoshi stood strong, ready to give it her all in this match. She would make sure to make it enjoyable for Stephen, too.
no subject
"You'll have to explain all this to me later--until then, both of you, go!" Finally a cheer! Seemed like he wasn't always so stoic after all.
no subject
With a grin, she stood up straight and rigid, keeping that grin on her face. "Seraphiel! It's time to kick it up a notch! Go straight into their defenses and try to break it!"
The engine gear kicked in the beyblade, light emitting from it as Seraphiel charged headfirst, hoping to break the defenses that the team had managed to form by this time.
no subject
"So you're going to teach me about this when you're finished, right?"
no subject
"Of course! It's a deal."
no subject
He hadn't forgot that he'd had every intent of helping Hoshi with repairs...at this point it'd end up being "whereever she needed it."
no subject
"Seraphiel! Come forth and make all the sinners pay! ELYSIUM FINAL!" she cried out as light filled the arena, followed by Seraphiel coming out of his chip once more. Angel feathers surrounded the opposing beyblade, trapping it in place. To finish the match once and for all, Seraphiel brought his cross down to extract judgment on them, causing their beyblade to shoot out of the dish and far away.
"And, I believe that is the game." Oh, was that a little smug smirk on her face? You bet it was.
no subject
"Though do all the beyblade creatures look similar?"
He thought it was a fairly relevant question.
no subject
"Not at all! There's plenty of different kinds of holy beasts, ranging from animals you'd see in real life and then thy go into the mythological range, as well."
no subject
Well, there was always room for surprises, he supposed.
no subject
"I figure that if Stacy saved Seraphiel, why not other holy beasts, too?"
no subject
But searching for more holy beasts seemed like a better use of Stephen's time. "Do you have any idea of where to begin the search? Because I don't."
Then again, if they were magical, he might have an easier time finding them by virtue of being able to sense that sort of thing.
no subject
She folded her arms over her chest, pacing a little bit here and there. She knew that holy beasts were findable through others, but then again, they were magical in some way. "I... guess we try something like a metal detector, but only pinpoints on a holy beast's signature?"
Honestly, she was lost on what to do for this, herself. Finding holy beasts wasn't a strong point of her's.
no subject
"It just means I'll have to work some parameters in it so I'm not just finding Seraphiel himself all the time, but it shouldn't be too odd. And I should be able to do it with my omnicomm instead of having to go all the way back to my lab for it," Stephen said.
It was good being a Son of Ether, sometimes.
no subject
"Stephen's gonna scan you, okay?" she told Seraphiel who nodded and stood as perfectly still as possible, waiting for Stephen to begin his work.
no subject
Being that he figured Seraphiel was a living creature, it might work even better if Stephen had actually had Life magick too. Wish in one hand and crap in the other, see what piles up first, as the old saying went.
The actual scan took a few moments more than the explanation did, and Stephen nodded once he was done. "All right, I think I've got it."
no subject
Once he was done, he gave a playful nip at his finger as Hoshi smiled warmly at Seraphiel's gesture. "He likes you."
