"Good morning," said Philip, walking out the door right on time. "Ready to give it a try?"

"Good morning, Philip," Hoshi replied, giving him room by stepping to the side. "And, yeah. I figure if we start now, by the next time something happens, I'd be more used to henshin and everything."

"Right, we'll not waste any time then," said Philip. "Get out the belt and we'll start practising quick-changes then."

He held up his Gaia Memory and clicked it.

"Very well," replied Hoshi as she flicked her wrist to make the DoubleDriver appear. She grabbed the Joker Memory from inside of her vest, waiting for Philip's start.

She clicked it after hearing the Cyclone Memory's voice.

She slotted it in the Driver, waiting for Philip next.

Philip's next was him passing out after slotting in the Cyclone Memory, and he slumped against the ground once more.

Hoshi's hands moved to push both of the Gaia Memories down, positioning the Driver's arms into a W. Then, the pieces scattered about and a tune (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtMJ83tbs0s) played before she stood as Kamen Rider W.

"Now, count up your crimes!"

...Wait, she didn't recall saying that ever before.

Inwardly, Philip grinned as the eye flashed. "All right, you've experienced rudimentary combat as Double, but there's a couple of aspects that you need to keep up with. One thing is the quick changing of Memories."

"In battle, our biggest strength is being flexible with powers, to suit the situation. Ideally I would tell you which ones to use, but you can make combo decisions. For example."

Philip swapped the Cyclone Memory as new music played as his right side changed form into the red form.

"HeatJoker," said Philip. "Adding the strong attack skills of Joker with the fire abilities of Heat. We can deal quite a bit of damage in this form. Ideally however we swap Joker also to Metal."

Hoshi inwardly nodded, making mental notes here and there about what Double's powers were. It was incredible just how many combinations there were to make sure that they survived.

"Right, so..." Her left hand moved to swap the Joker Memory out for the Metal Memory.

The left side changed into a silver color and a bo appeared on her back. She moved to grab it, twirling it around a bit. "What strengths do we have as HeatMetal, Philip?" she asked as the left eye flashed.

"Added toughness and the range of a weapon, as well as adding fire to the staff," said Philip, taking up the staff and swinging it around. Fire blossomed at the ends of it and he seemed to smirk.

"Each form has its own Memory Break, which is a high powered attack which can destroy a Gaia Memory when it used, returning the person to normal. However in certain situations with enough force it can kill something. As with any other attack."

Okay, now that? That was cool. Although it couldn't be seen, her eyes glimmered with appreciation over the fire appearing around the staff.

"In other words, unless if we have to, don't use a Memory Break at full force?"

"That's correct," said Philip. "I try to avoid killing things, but in the case of the Ohm we might have to. Also, Memory Breaks in rapid succession can drain us of stamina, so we need to make every shot count."

"Admittedly, I'm not comfortable taking a life myself," Hoshi stated, feeling comforted a bit at what Philip said. Maybe they didn't have to kill the Ohm, but just disable them like what she did with the Oryans.

"Right. Is there another attack Double has, other than Memory Break?"

"Depends on the combo. There's weapons and defensive skills for each one, but the Memory Break is the finisher for everything." said Philip. "Getting used to the quick change is needed. Like so."

Slotting the two in, their form changed again into a yellow and blue warrior as Philip took up the gun and fired several curving shots.

"LunaTrigger is the precision type. We pretty much can never miss with the right amount of concentration. Luna allows us to curve shots in any direction, and Trigger is the expert marksman Memory."

Hoshi nodded before she prepared herself for the change. This time, she got more used to the quick change, finding it becoming almost like second nature.

She watched the shots fire off, watching the pattern they made. "Oh, wow... No wonder when we became Double for the first time, even though I never fired off a gun in my life, the shots were like they came from an expert," she said in amazement.

"Exactly. Each memory has the, well, memory of a certain aspect of life. Trigger is the marksman memory, Luna the illusion memory, etcetera. Now then, undo the henshin and I'll show you FangJoker."

"All right." Hoshi took out both Memories and then watched the henshin break off with her standing in her normal clothes again.

She turned around and helped Philip off of the ground, smiling. "Ready when you are."

Philip nodded as he held out his hand. "Come, Fang!"

With a little mechanical cry, the dinosaur ran out and leaped into his hand as the Joker Memory suddenly flew into Hoshi's side of her belt. Locking it into place when it appeared on Philip's end, he proclaimed, "HENSHIN!"

Plugging it, the belt proclaimed,

With a cry, Philip transformed into a white and violet-black Rider. Hoshi this is your cue to fall over unconscious.

And, therefore, her body limply fell over, a peaceful looking expression on her face while she was unconscious.

"FangJoker's henshin is different," she remarked when the henshin was done.

"It is. More power first off, and Fang allows me to become the Rider and you within," said Philip, his right eye flashing. "Like the others it has a Memory Break as well. But unlike the others, it is more difficult to swap the Body-Memory which is why we use Joker since it has the highest fighting skill."

He pumped the tail once. "FangBoomerang." And it erupted from his shoulder. "The primary weapon of FangJoker."

"I see. With what you said, it makes perfect sense," replied Hoshi, the left eye flashing in response. She watched what he was doing and nodded inwardly.

"I take it with this form, you don't use it that much. May I ask why?"

"I had a problem with it going out of control in the past," said Philip. "That, and I have less stamina than say when Shotarou used a regular half-combo. Fang is dedicated to protecting me, but there is enough that using it requires escalating."

"In other words, we only use FangJoker if I'm unable to fight normally or if I'm in trouble, right?" asked Hoshi, her mind already making plans as to how to use the forms to their optimal standards.

"Either way, I'm ready to see what kind of power FangJoker has, if you'd like to use it."

"Ideally we'd start with FangJoker, so not to exhaust our potential Double," replied Philip as he pumped the tail.

The arm blade glowed and he hurled it, and it sliced through a hanging pot he had set up the night before.

"Got it," Hoshi replied, although she was thinking about his safety when they went FangJoker. Though, it was quickly silenced by the demonstration she saw.

"Impressive!" she exclaimed.

"It's got a long range and a short range too," said Philip. "Making up for one of the more impressive transformations we've got."

"Which is Xtreme?" It was a shot in the dark, but if what Philip was alluding to was any indication...

"Xtreme is an interesting one. It's another mobile memory like Fang."

Removing the transformation, Fang hopped away and Philip held up the Cyclone Memory. "To access it, we have to be transformed already, and then remove the memories for the Xtreme to dock in."

Hoshi woke up in her own body and then got up from the ground, dusting herself off. She then held up the Joker Memory once more, listening to what Philip had to say.

"All right. Do you want to attempt it?" she asked, still not dropping the hand that had the Gaia Memory already in it.

"Of course. If we don't try, it wouldn't be good if we had to use it in the field," said Philip, holding up his Cyclone Memory and plugging it in as he toppled over.

But before he could hit the floor, a bird-like Memory flew into view and absorbed him into 0's and 1's.

Hoshi slotted the Joker Memory in the Driver, expecting him to just fall over like he normally did, however when she saw his body separate into zeroes and ones, concern crossed her face.

"Philip?!"

She gulped and pressed down on both of the Memories, transforming into Kamen Rider Double once more. Quickly, she removed both the Cyclone and Joker Memories, placing the bird head-up.

She then separated it into an X-like formation, hearing it go "" once again. With the hope of doing it right, the armor split open, forming a prismatic middle part with a smaller green and black parts with the helmet looking like an X.

"Philip, are you still here?" she asked when the henshin was finished.

"Ah, I'm right beside you," said Philip in their mindspace, looking at Hoshi with a smile. "When we're Xtreme, we're as one. Two riders in one, both physically and mentally now."

"I was worried we couldn't go Xtreme, but this proves something I was thinking about. But more about that later."

Holding up a Memory, it proclaimed as a buckler with a sword appeared. Locking it into the top, he drew the blade. "The PrismBicker. Our main weapon in this form."

"I am going to kick you or something for worrying me like that! Next time, give me some kind of warning!" Okay, she wasn't really mad at him, but the surprise definitely gave her more of a shock than she needed. She gave off a final "ugh" to calm herself down before she nodded in their mindspace. Undoubtedly, this was awesome.

"What is it that you were thinking about-- oh fine, okay. I'll wait until later."

She watched what he was doing, amazed by the weapon itself. "For the weapon to work, what do we have to do?"

"The PrismBicker itself is used normally. However for a strong Memory Break, we use four Gaia Memories."

Aiming towards another set up close to the house, he clicked the Prism Memory and slotted it in.

"DOUBLE XTREME!" exclaimed CycloneJokerXtreme as he sliced twice, a X-shaped blast tearing into the set up target.

"Color me impressed," Hoshi said once she watched the set up be demolished within seconds thanks to the strong Memory Break that CycloneJokerXtreme did.

Though, due to being Xtreme for the first time, she did show signs of being tired. Still, she tried to push through it so that she would know exactly what to do when the time came.

"Does Xtreme have another form or attack associated with it?"

"One last one. It's the Double Xtreme Rider Kick." said Philip, a tornado whipping around them as they began to lift up into the air.

Closing the Memory, he opened it up.

At the apex of their flight, the pair hurled down at the target, and with a resounding explosion, struck it with both feet, landing safely on the other side.

When the Double Xtreme Rider Kick was done destroying the target, the henshin broke and Hoshi ended up falling to her knees in exhaustion.

"S-Sorry, partner..." she said, finding it to be much more comfortable to sit instead of kneel right now.

"It's all right. I expected this to happen," said Philip with a sigh.

Granted from his evaluations she was fairly compatible with Double's power, it also made a note that she was definitely unused to the power of Xtreme. Maybe even FangJoker. "Get some rest. I'll go get some juice from the Atori. Be right back."

Dammit, girl. We need to get stronger, thought Hoshi bitterly, still aware that her thoughts were shared with Philip thanks to the Driver.

She nodded and decided to stay where she was, biting down on her lower lip. She didn't want to fail her partner by being weak.

Returning with two cans of juice, he handed one to Hoshi as he popped one open. Taking a swig, he added, "You held up better than I planned. The worst case scenario I expected was it just not working. Which means somewhere, there's a good chunk of Crystallized Memory somewhere."

She took the can of juice, popping it open and then she took a much needed sip of it. "So, I didn't fail you?" Failing anything didn't sound good to her.

"And... Crystallized Memory?"

"You didn't. For someone who isn't Shotarou, you held up well. I was worried because FangJoker and Xtreme require a certain level of compatability to access. I was right, you do have a high enough level. Not optimal by any means but enough."

A compliment, even if he was picking apart the flaws. "Ah, a chunk of the Earth's Memory. It may be here in lockup somewhere."

Philip's words helped ease Hoshi's insecurities that were floating in her mind. Right, she'd have to try to get stronger for the both of them.

"Then, I'll have to try to get stronger so that I don't get as tired or have such a strain when we do Xtreme. For FangJoker, I don't feel too much of a strain with it."

Then, she nodded and took another sip of her juice. "What would happen if we were to find it? Would the Gaia Memories get stronger or something?"

"Finding it might be difficult," remarked Philip thoughtfully. "There is a good chance that it may be stored away, or under a certain building. And the possibility to be somewhere secure right now is high."

"I see," Hoshi remarked as she tried to get up to her feet, figuring she'd have enough strength to stand. Eventually, she managed to stand on her own, though with some difficulty.

"It's something to be done in the future."

"That's right. For now, get your strength back. I would suggest eating as well," said Philip. "We have some leftovers from breakfast. Want them?"

"Sure, I'd love to," replied Hoshi while she finished the last contents of the juice. She found herself wanting more of the juice, too.

"Do you have another can of this stuff? It's delicious."

"We do. It's in the fridge, next to the cheese." said Philip. "C'mon, it's this way."

"Awesome!"

Yes, she was following you inside, Philip. Food and juice definitely sounded good to her right about now.
