Anyway, this cake is great/So delicious and moist [Semi-Open]

The old cherry trees in the courtyard had decided to bloom with impeccable timing, transforming the entrance of the Susono Inn into an explosion of color. Pink petals collected between the stones of the courtyard's walkway, on the overhang of the foyer... oh, and if you got anywhere in a fifty foot radius of the place, you probably got a few on you, too.

The weather was cool and the air slightly crisp beneath the shade of the old trees. There were some wines and sake available for the older guests, and juice for the younger ones (both rescued from the Inn's storehouse). And of course, there was cake.

Mmm, cake.

[Subthreads are A-OK, feel free to threadjack. If you want a super-pathetically detailed map of the Inn for some reason, check here. The invitation post is here. Again, if you've threaded with Allenby/Zouichi a couple of times/are on good terms with them, consider yourself invited! Just ask if unsure]

The train of thought seemed to be drifting into territory that Sandy didn't care about so she decided to edge it in another direction.

"Did any of you guys have a favorite toy growing up?" Being a child herself she still knew exactly what her favorite toy was, though if Stacy had saved it she had no idea.

"Favorite toy?" Hana turned to look at Sandy, puzzled by the question before frowning in thought. "Erm..." He shrugged. "M'not sure."

"Didn't really have a childhood I could remember," Splicer chimed in, knowing all too well that his kind was memory wiped the moment they finished their training, safety precautions so that the secrets of the Dominion weren't dug out by the enemy.

"But I do have an addiction to music and video games. I collect them. Try to get my hands on vintage games quite often, some of my favorites being Contra and StarFox from the twentieth century."

"No, I'm not looking to get adopted. Rory just seems to think everyone needs it." He raises a high five for Splicer. "Videogames are where it's at. My best toy was an XBox, no lies."

"Oh man, I read about those. Nice stuff when they came out and all that." he said with a smile.

"It's hard to find info on the games of that time, but with enough digging around you can get some nice stuff."

Hana chuckled, thinking about his consoles at home that he'd had to protect from his fathers friend from trying to pawn off or flat out stealing. He also remembered having to visit Redseb's place to play more violent (or also 'addicting', as his mothers would dub them) games so his mothers wouldn't find out.

He gave Sandy a nudge. "What about you? What was your favorite?"

"Well, I had a gameboy my dad got me before he went away so that was cool. I also really liked playing soccer and stuff."

But as for a favorite toy she would never admit that she had a beloved brown plush dog that she still sometimes slept with. Maybe it would be OK for Hana to know that but these guys were still strangers.

"I had a gravity board. Does that count?" He asked with a grin, again, all these 'childhood' toys he spoke up he started using after he got out of the academy since his childhood was erased.

"But then I discovered hovercycles and my board got shelved." he chuckled.
