Studying (Open)

The sensoriums looked a little different today, as upon entry one would find rows and rows of books. In the middle of it stood several bookshelves flying around, being shuffled about as Philip made his own studies. Even with the clock broken, he wanted to run a search on his own world.

“Keyword: Kamen Rider. Time Travel. Ryuki. Knight.”

As Phillip shuffled bookshelves, there was another person in the shelves today, his companion for the time being, Negi Springfield. The young mage was looking through shelves, plucking memories off the shelf and reading into them. It was like having your own personal library, even if the shelves rearranged themselves periodically when Philip was making a look up.

(ooc: couldn’t decide on who to post with so have a joint Negi-Philip post. Just make a note of who you wanna talk to, or just come in to gawk at the sight of the Gaia Library in full manifest. Bendytimed to after the clock is taken out.)

It had been just a little while since Sasami had seen Negi and really spent time with him. Or at the very least, spent time with him without Mindy butting in. Catching him reading a book within the Sensoriums, she couldn't help but sneak up on him.

She leaned over his shoulder, the ribbon wrapped around her right pigtail, draping over it as well. "What are you looking at, Negi-kun?"

Negi looked up at Sasami, and smiled at her. She looked pretty cute with that long pigtail with the pink ribbon. "Ah, Philip was kind enough to let me browse his mind," he said, indicating the countless bookshelves in the area.

He turned it over and it read "Accel". "I'm reading up on his friend, Terui Ryu, Kamen Rider Accel."

"Browse his mind?" Sasami said, gawking. That... was a weird thing to experience. Then again, Phillip's an odd guy, to say the least.

"Accel..." she echoed, seeing the book. "There are others from his world?"

"Yeah," said Negi, gesturing everywhere. "This is inside his mind. Within it he has millions of information and knowledge. It's really quite something to be privileged to do so!"

Negi nodded. "Apparently even Ren is from his world too, but several years behind him." He held up a book that read "Knight".

"Oh, wow...!" Sasami uttered. "So, this is where he keeps all of that...!" She couldn't help but look around. "I still can't help but worry about him - he tries things without realizing something bad could happen."

When Negi held up the book, she couldn't help but blink again. "...does Ren know?"

Negi nodded at that. "I noticed it when he and Ren were taking care of us back before the clock hit. Now the shoe's on the other foot but not anymore. Still, I do worry for him as well. He's kind of reckless."

Like a certain teacher no less.

"I think he would, but he's never said anything about any other Riders in his world, and considering the end of Ryuki, well..." Negi shrugged. Having time reset and everyone "forgetting" was hard enough.

"Kind of reckless. Yeah, like a certain someone I know." Sasami said, a small smirk on her face.

Oh, she would tease him silly...!

Negi blushed a little as he rubbed his head. "Okay, okay, I get it. I'm reckless." He smiled as he let Sasami tease him like that.

"I'm not that bad right?"

"Maaaaaaybe." Sasami teased. "But... you have a reason for doing so. I... really can't fault you on that, can I?"

"Well... I don't just be reckless for anyone," said Negi quietly, leaning in and pecking Sasami on the cheek. "Can't I be reckless for you?"

Sasami blinked at Negi's reaction, blushing at him kissing her. "O-Of course you can... won't stop me from worrying, though..."

He grinned just a little. Maybe it was a combination of different things, but Negi was feeling rather grown up at the moment as he smiled at her. "I promise I won't get into trouble unless it's unavoidable. Okay?"

"Okay..." Sasami whispered, leaning over to return the kiss on his cheek. Perhaps it was all those talks and reassurances, but deep down, Sasami felt like she could trust him more.

Smiling and blushing just a little at the kiss at his cheek, he added, "You know, it's always good to have something to fight for."

"I don't know if it's been such a long time but I'm starting to understand why people do it now."

"Really?" Sasami uttered, blinking. For awhile, she wanted to be someone who'd fight for another. Maybe she'd understand it better if someone knew it as well? "How so?"

"It feels fulfilling," said Negi, looking over his shoulder at her. "To protect someone you care for, and fighting for the cause that you want them to be happy... that's something that people understand. And it's why people like Asuna fights for me as well, because she hates seeing me sad too."

Sasami listened to Negi's reasoning and it started to make sense. She had people she wanted to protect and make them happy. At the same time, though, she also saw that her desire to do that was hurting others, particularly her sisters.

"It's not a decision to take lightly, is it, though?"

"No it isn't, which means when you do, you have to decide on what path to follow."

Negi reached out and picked up two books, one labled Light and one Dark. "These were my choices when I first began, my fathers side," and he held up the Light book, "and my Master Evangeline's side." And he indicated the Dark book.

"In the end, I decided to take the Grey Path. Which is sort of walking in between of both of them. I find that it helps me be a protector better."

He chose the third path. Interesting. Her arms wrapped around Negi, hugging him tightly as she spoke.

"I don't want to worry my sisters, but I want to help protect everyone." she said. "...I'll do what you do. I'll fight if there's no other choice."

Reaching up, he placed his hand on hers. "I know you'll choose what's right, Sasami. The decision to fight in a manner is what you need to decide on what to do, be it you get muddy along the way, or pure and clean, or dark as a nightless moon."

Sasami nodded, closing her eyes as she laid her other hand on top of Negi's. "So much has changed, Negi-kun. It seems so dizzying and yet... I think I can manage. I think we all will, hm?"

"I think so too," replied Negi, feeling her warm hand over his. "I think we'll do fine, Sasami."

"Mm-hmm..." Sasami hummed, nodding as she did. After awhile, though, she started to pull away, blushing as she did.

"Um... s-sorry. I guess I got a little carried away."

Negi's cheeks were also red as he nodded. "It's fine, we just needed some reassurance."

Truth be told, it felt really nice to be hugged like that.

Sasami nodded at that. Reassurance. That's one way of putting it.

Trying to calm down, Sasami was curious about one thing. "You think... there's stuff about us there?"
