Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails [Open]
Living in the TARDIS isn't all it's cracked up to be. Everyone there is busy a lot, it seems, and there's only so many questions Jamie can ask before he finds himself shooed away or set to doing something to help. He doesn't mind that once in awhile, but there's only so much 'helping' he can do, and only so many places they'll let him go in the TARDIS alone.
Today he's not in the mood to sit around there and do nothing, so as soon as the opportunity presents itself, he takes off, wandering through the hangar a bit and looking at all the strange ships before eventually making his way through to the other parts of the ship just to try and find something to do.
He's got a few things with him to keep him company, though. One is a small sack that he's put some important things in - some snacks, a nice rock from his room, and the morphers. They're too big for his wrists now, and he doesn't remember what they are any more, just that it's important he has them with him. Since his super sporran is with his adult clothing, the bag is the only other reasonable place for them to be. The other item he has with him in one of those horseless carriages he's been told about, a wee one he found somewhere and decided to keep. He likes the way the wheels spin, and it moves pretty nicely even without the horses - or one of those engine-things. That toy he's been keeping out so he can play with it when the mood takes him. Of course, sometimes the mood takes him so he sends it careening down one of Stacy's hallways, but that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
((OOC: Bendytime to fall in between the Oryan mission and the crew negotiating with the Time Dragons. Feel free to run into him anywhere - just mention in the subject line where it is.))

"I'm glad to hear that!"
Then, at Jamie's question, a smirk came across her lips. "It does this!" she said before she made the motorcycle start performing a pop wheelie with the front end of the bike raising up. For added measure, she revved up the engine a little bit. All the while, she was making sure to not hurt him in the process.

Fortunately, it reminds him of a rearing horse just enough that he mostly keeps his composure. His hands are getting a little sweaty, though, and his grip slips a slight amount. He readjusts all right, but he's beginning to think that it's not such a good idea to play knights on the thing after all.
"Er, remind me not to ask ye to do that again."
no subject
"Got it. I'm sorry," she said, frowning a bit, not wanting to frighten him more than he was.

In fact, if she happens to get a glimpse of his face in any handy nearby reflective surfaces, he's actually smiling. Popwheelies aside, this is pretty fun.
"Could we go by the big castle?" He means Castle Wyvern, but since he can't remember the name, shifts so he can maintain his hold, but still point in that direction for a second or two. After which, of course, he's back to hanging on with both arms. "I'd like to see it up close if ye don't mind."
no subject
"Sure, why not?" she said, turning her head a little bit so that she could return his grin before shifting her attention back to the makeshift road in the city. Once he gave her the direction, she turned the bike so that she could get there as fast as the bike would allow for now, as well as within reason.

Seeing Castle Wyvern up close feels like seeing a little bit of Scotland. And even though it's not where it's supposed to be, it's enough to remind him not everything from his home is gone entirely, replaced by this strange squishy world. It helps settle him further, and the last of his anxiety over being on the strange vehicle vanishes. "Thank ye, miss."
He nestles up against Hoshi, yawning briefly, then leaning his head against her back to watch the buildings go by. It's been a long day, and he's starting to feel a little tired. He can hang on a bit longer, though, he thinks. At least for the rest of the trip.

"You're welcome," she said in a calm voice while she noticed he was tired. Well, there wasn't any harm in what she was going to offer to Jamie. After all, kids liked getting piggyback rides, didn't they?
"Want me to carry you on my back? It'll be like an adventure of sorts! And, then, if you'd like, I can carry you that way back to wherever you rest your head for the night."
no subject
Clearly he thinks that's too old to get one, if the expression on his face is anything to go by. No, he'd rather walk, and says as much.
"I'll not need one of those. But...if ye want to walk me back to the blue box in the hangar, that'd be alright."
no subject
Even though she was agreeing with him, she was giggling a little bit.
Although, the blue box in the hangar... Wasn't that the TARDIS? She didn't know anything else that was considered a 'blue box' on Stacy. "All right! I can do that as soon as we're done here."
no subject
Truthfully, if Goliath was here at the moment? Jamie wouldn't remember him - and it would wind up being a 'staring at the beastie' sort of situation. So perhaps it's for the best.
However, the young Scot does walk up to the side of the castle, and runs a hand over a few of the rough stones on its exterior. He turns to look back at Hoshi, smiling again. "Would ye not say it's a grand place?"
no subject
"It's beautiful. There's not many castles back where I'm from, so to see something like this is really quite something. Thank you for inviting me here," she answered, giving him a soft smile. Admittedly, she was having fun just spending time with him here.

He starts to say 'Thank you', but it's interrupted by another yawn. He's definitely feeling sleepy now. This one he can't quite hide from her as well as he thinks he hid the other one, though, and he looks at her apologetically.
"Sorry."
no subject
Hoshi noticed the yawn and merely shook her head, a simple smile crossing her lips. "It's all right. Did you want to take me up on my offer of a piggyback ride now so that you could take a catnap on the way to the blue box?"
no subject
"I'll not be too heavy for ye?"
no subject
"It'll be okay for me. Go ahead."
no subject
And, if they do and actually mention it...well, he'll just have to sort them then, won't he? Satisfied that he'll be able to defend himself against any teasing, he leans his chin on Hoshi's shoulder, ready to go when she is.
no subject
Along the way, she hummed a soft tune to hopefully either get Jamie to sleep on the way there. "Say, what's the blue box like?" she asked, deciding to play with this a little bit.
no subject
"It's very big," comes a slightly sleepy sounding reply. "Ye could go for days in there and not find your way out. And there's this one room that's all bubbles."
no subject
This one sounded like a lullaby, one her mother sang to her when she was a little girl. It always did the trick to get her to sleep.
no subject
Of course, that would have to mean that Jamie was awake to hear them. The lullaby is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. The little Scot's eyes start drifting closed again, and after a last ditch effort to keep them open, he gives up and lets himself drift off to sleep.
