Playing With Superpowers (Open)

Ben had fuelled upon smoothies and he was truly bored for the point being. So he was dialling through the Ultimatrix when he began to shift to different ones. It was here that he noticed something rather SUPER in his rotation.

"He-llo what is THIS? I had forgotten I had it."

In a flash of light, Ben stood there, taller, muscular, not quite as massive as the original but somewhere on the path towards becoming Ben 10,000. He smirked down at himself, patting his black outfit that came with it. It had been a long time since he checked playlist five, but he had forgotten that he had a scan of Kryptonian DNA.

"Now this I like."

And he hovered into the air.

"WHOA! Okay, make that REALLY LOVE."

Ben noticed Superman standing there. Man? Damn he was just barely older than he was now!

"Superman! ... right?" said Ben, waving from his floating relaxed position. "Good to see you up and about."

"I... guess." the young Man of Steel said. "Thanks. I... I don't even remember why I was in there... or... why I'm here? Just all these odd memories of me when I'm older. I think it's me."

"Yeah that happens."

Casually tapping down, Ben grinned a little at him. "It'll all come back in time. But really, they'd better get that clock thing solved soon."

"The memories should sort out in a bit."

Sighing a bit, he sat down to relax, trying to sort everything out. "It's funny. One moment, I thought I'd look ridiculous running around in a Halloween costume like this and now... I'm helping running this ship? I have to admit, it's... a bit too much."

He smiled a bit. "But... I guess they're all looking up to me. Even if I am doing just that to them."

"Everyone needs someone to look up to," said Ben, folding his arms and looking rather like the imposing man that he was going to grow up into. An easy smile was on the boy-turned-man's face and he added, "Believe in yourself, and protect the innocent. Even if it seems rough and dirty, it has to be done."

The young Superman listened to what Ben had to say. Wouldn't that be something Pa would have told him? Maybe.

Okay, of course it would be!

Nodding a bit, he spoke up. "Yeah... yeah, you're right. It does seem daunting, yet... it has to be done."

"Yep." said Ben with a nod.

"Hey... ever get practice with your powers? I mean, it's wide and open here. And I've got the baseline stuff you have right now. We could figure it out together?"
