"Come on. Work..." Danny sauid, clenching his fists together, attempting to make a solid weapon out of his ecto-energy.

A long, translucent, object appeared in his hands, but disappeared in a few seconds.

"Damn it! Why can't I do this?!"

"Trying to make something out of ecto?" Dani asked. She had come in to see Danny practicing. It wasn't too hard to figure out what he was trying to do with how the ecto was moving.

"Maybe I can help?" Dani asked, floating closer. "Vlad was teaching me how our powers work. I just had to stop because of that little melting problem when we were going into the higher energy usage stuff," she added. After all, there was a reason Dani was good enough to have a fighting chance against Danny despite less time with the powers.

"You have ice powers?" Dani asked, looking surprised.

"Really? I always thought we were just sensitive to the cold aura ghosts are supposed to give off," Dani said with a thoughtful look.

"I actually kind of figured it out for myself. I was doing ghost research on my own," Dani said.

Dani nodded. "Why I looked up Biology too," she added.

"To see you practice, pretty much," Dani said and paused, looking thoughtful. "Unless you want to teach me that wail thing..."

"Really? Guess that explains why it tires you out so much," Dani commented. Still, when she thought about it...

"Could you tell me how you do it? I mean, you really think I won't be in a situation where I won't die horribly?" She asked. She was rather casual about it. It was a truth she accepted.

One she embraced, really. Since she could die horribly in a fight, it meant she was alive enough where she had a chance to fight.

Dani looked at him thoughtfully. "I guess I should get used to being more...emotional with using my powers," she commented. She was used to Vlad's way, studying what abilities came up to use them to their full affect.

That's why she had been so good at ecto blasts in the time it took Danny to stop accidentally phasing through the floor.

"Well, it did help with keeping my powers in check so I didn't me-" Then Dani froze, her eyes widening as she actually registered his words.

She looked at him in almost awe. "I'm....a Fenton?" She asked quietly.

Dani stared at him, that shock and awed expression still on her face.

The name Dani, the name Phantom. That was his, and he had accepted her as his clone. She felt it was fine to use those names because she was accepted as part of his ghost life.

She never took the name Fenton. Fenton was his family, his human life, the normal life. The life she was aware of, the life she had protected by trying not to depend on him to help her get through life.

But he had. He said she was a Fenton, family even in his normal life. She felt tears well up in her eye before she could stop them.

Danny might have had no idea why she was surprised, but it meant a lot to her, that he accepted her completely as family. "T-thank you!" She said, immediately wrapping her arms around him even as tears fell.

Dani hugged him tighter in response, though of course not tight enough to hurt or anything. "Thanks, Danny...that...that means a lot to me," she said, smiling even with the tears.
