In Which Teen Zetta Cruises For Chicks [Open. I am sorry.]
Sunglasses on.
Engine roaring.
Music blaring.
Accelerator depressed, gears engaged, and he was off.
The 2023 Ferrari Infinity streaked like a bullet through the City, down corridors, across the obs deck, anywhere it could reach, a black blur to those with slow vision, accented by a red streak where the flames of the Overlord's hair trailed far behind the convertible in wind-tossed delight. A smug grin on his face, left elbow propped firmly on the door, the Overlord did what any teen demon -- or, demon de-aged to about 1700 or so -- would do.
He was cruising for chicks.
Ladies, look out; Teen Zetta is looking for you.

Table and all meant table and all the stuff that was on it! The chairs were not on it!"Of course I am. I'm the best there is, remember? And a wunderkind deserves the best treatment an Overlord can give."
Oooh, he was particularly pleased with that one.

Including yours, Lash. There'll be no escape.

Seriously, how can you go back to piperunners and Neotanks once you've had dinners in a Netherworld and piloted giant robots.

and made out with an Overlord"Oh, you wanna join my Netherworld willingly, huh?" He raised his eyebrows, grinning smugly. "I'd give you a Drill Tank just to let you run wild with it if you did!"

"Speaking of being cool and stuff to do, I might have an idea..."
Sorry Zetta, it wasn't anything close and personal, but it did involve some sort of traffic control and giant balls of fire being hurled at flying targets, if that newly appearing giant slingshot in the castle was any indication.

He kicked his chair off the side of the tower as he stood up. "Team up or competition?" he said, as if anyone had to really ask.
no subject
"Depends. I don't think I can lose this game." Like she couldn't lose the other. "This is all just a mathematical calculations based on projection, the speed of the moving targets and strength." Well gosh, when you put it like that.

A Prinny abruptly appeared -- but this one was pink. Zetta pointed at the slingshot, and with a 'dood!' the Prinny scurried over to load up a giant rock into it, then start heaving it backwards. Its stubby peg-legs skittered on the stones of the roof as it hauled the thing back to full-extension --
--at which point Zetta lazily kicked it up and over the band. The rock rolled to one side as the band snapped forward, launching the Prinny into the air. A dragon looked horribly surprised for about half a second before the Prinny slammed into it and detonated.

"My turn, my turn!"
While not as physically strong as Zetta (and that Prinny he asked to do the job for him), she managed to bring down the band to the ground. But it wasn't an exploding undead penguin creature or a giant rock that she put in there.
"Watch this."
A tiny, small pebble. How long Lash stood there watching the skies was anyone's guess, but she kept uttering a few mathematical probabilities out loud and squinting her eyes to see the rate and the speed of the dragons passing by. For someone who liked loud explosions, it almost seemed bizarre to see her like this, but once she finally felt satisfied and let it rip, it wasn't hard to see why.
It was a well-calculated domino effect. The stone hit the first dragon's wing causing it to spin in the air, the pain making it scream out a blast of fire in surprise. The incoming two dragons, one from each side, weren't able to stop in time and slammed into each other from the cloud of fire and smoke blocking their view, free-falling to the ground. And then, as they fell, a poor low flying demon could only look up in fear and have no time to utter anything but a strange scream as he plummeted to his doom, probably finding himself under dragon bodies soon.
"Tee hee! It worked! It worked!"
But there was more! The first dragon had gotten the ire of another passing one, who saw the flames as an attack, and launched a fireball at him. The other dragon ducked, but not enough for another one behind him, who was busy watching the two plummeting ones with the demon, to get it right in the face. It stopped, causing a few more dragons behind to pill up against him from having a suddenly block in the sky.
The air was then filled with the roars and flames of battling dragons for the next few minutes.
"...Well I hadn't expected all of that to happen," she admitted somewhat proudly crossing her arms, "but the two dragons falling on the demon were!" She watched a few of the demons get into the dragon free-for-all battle. "Look at 'em go!"

As it continued on, she put a hand over Zetta's own, the other suddenly holding a familiar gun from one of their first meetings, a Prinny already locked and loaded and not looking too happy about it. Looking at her bizarre contraption, it almost felt like forever ago. She seemed to know him a lot better now, or maybe it was all that time rewinding that made her feel soft. Surely. Maybe it was the pudding.
In any case, with the entire demonic group pretty close to each other and a lot of fire in the air already, one single fired shot ought do it.
"Would you like to do the honors?"

He wasn't a sciencey sort, but he had a decent TEC stat thanks to his level, and had watched a lot of movies in his time.
Dramatically, he lifted his key, right along with his eyebrows as he looked eagerly at her.

"You know, I never understood why we had to call it a safe setting. It's more of an armed and unarmed if you ask me." She took the key and held it between her thumb and forefinger.
"Ready when you are."
no subject
"Probably a desperate attempt to feel that way," Zetta said.
He hesitated a moment just to deepen the drama, then plunged his key into the switch with an excessive amount of drama. There might even have been speed lines, and the same scene of the key entering the lock repeated three times.
Did someone say dramatic speed lines
"Dood!" one of the two prinny's said to the other. "I have a bad feeling about this, dood!"
"Dood I agree that this doesn't look good!"
Click.
"Weapons locked and engaged. Countdown begins in 5...4...3..."
It was right about then that the dragons and demons finally noticed that Zetta wasn't screaming instructions at them anymore and the battlefield got oddly quiet as they all turned around to where the pair was standing.

"2.... 1...."
One of the Prinnies wearily commented to the other, "I don't think the Overlord's new girlfriend is gonna advance the cause of Prinny rights, dood."
"FIRE!"
Two Prinnies rocketed towards their targets as the guns discharged, smoke training in their wake.
"Hyaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha!"
And last tag before leaving. >B]
The fighting crowd was suddenly trying to fly out of there, but it was too little, too late. The Prinnies quickly flew circles each other, when their fins locked together, looking at each other in the eyes. In their last moments, perhaps, they'd found companionship.
Right before they and everything around around them blew up in a light so bright, Lash had to shield their eyes.
"Tee hee!"
A gigantic cloud of smoke and fire grew into the sky, enveloping everything in its path and sending burn debris back to the ground like tiny little black snowflakes. The shock wave rocked the very foundation of the castle itself, making it shake. But as visibility slowly returned to the netherworld, something was slightly different than before.
Lash had taken the precise moment to ditch her gun and grab the Overlord into another kiss. Surprise, Zetta.
