A Wandering Feline [Open]
If one were to be about the city they might come across a particular orange tom wandering the streets in that self-assured fashion that cats do. Having made himself known in his draconic form Crucible had decided to explore the city in a form that would draw less attention or the very least, a different sort of attention than he would receive as either Bight or Crucible.
His wanderings in his feline form took him far and wide around the city, from the river, and through various streets all the way to the Drunken Dragon. Which he watched from hiding for some time before padding over towards the tavern and in through the front door. Tail flicking as he peered about the place.
(OOC: Feel free to run into kitty!Crucible anywhere in his wanderings about the city or around the Tavern)

The river!
"Hello," he said experimentally, curious to see if it would answer.

He whisked the makeshift toy from one side to another, keeping it more or less within the tom's reach to keep its interest.
Cat paws were so small. Also, he liked their whiskers.

With a pause in the batting, he would watch the motions of the foxtail with the same seeming intensity. Without warning he darted a small paw forward to pin the foxtail down, tilting his head down at it before peering up at Zouichi, tail flicking behind him. If the other had a liking for cat's he was not adverse.
Re: The river!
"You know, I think cats on this ship can actually talk more often than not. I've met at least one, but I guess you're not one of them." Zouichi smiled. "So is someone keeping you fed? You're kind of friendly to be a stray, aren't you?"

Zouichi smiled as the tom tilted its head into the scratches, moving his fingers down to scratch along the cat's back. He'd never been able to pet a real cat before, and this one's fur was so soft.
"Actually, I've been thinking about that. There's no real reason for me to like or dislike animals -- that's what Nishu would have said. So maybe part of it is that you can't understand." Well, that and the cuteness factor.
"Words fail sometimes. Or the people speaking them are trying to deceive you for some reason -- maybe they feel guilt, maybe they want something from you, maybe they're trying to deceive themselves as well. Maybe when we developed speech, we were only causing more trouble for ourselves -- a million more possible conflicts and misunderstandings with each word we invented."

He sighed, finally standing up. "I guess I should get going. I'll try and remember to bring you a treat next time, okay? Stay out of trouble."
And with that, he strode back off toward the Inn -- for once, he actually had his hands full with a project, and it probably wouldn't do to leave it be for too long.
Angkor Wat
Her fingers practically itched to pet him, but she stayed her hand; you never knew what you'd find on Stacy. "Hi there."

"Wish I could take you home; it'd be nice having some company around. Though..." Up close, she could tell that his fur was in good condition and that he wasn't underfed. And, if the lack of collar was any indication, he didn't have an owner. "You seem to be doing alright on your own, right, puss?"

At her comment though he peered up to her, something of a confident look, even for a cat, his tail swishing slowly as he watched her before giving a light meow as he sat back on his haunches to the full height of his currently small form.
(OOC: Sorry for the delay, Uni has had me rather busy indeed the last week and a bit)

"Proud of yourself, aren't ya?" It was easy to imagine the cocky expression he'd probably be wearing if he were human. She laughed. "That'd be more impressive if you were, you know, taller." She paused her scritches to consider this. "Though, I dunno, you might be tall for a cat."
(No problem. Good luck with your schoolwork!)
Darn it >.< Really sorry about the delay in this one
He flicked an ear at the comment and peered up to her as she paused in the scritchings, ironically in his other forms, 'taller' would be quite the descriptor, even in his human form he was fairly tall, in his true form, 'massive' would not be too unfitting.
No problem
She blinked back at him and graciously resumed the scritching. "You're right; holdin' your own on this ship, a thing like height wouldn't stop you."
Re: No problem
After a time though he wriggle out of her grasp and hop up back onto one of the tree roots that littered the area. As much as scritches were nice, he could not stay for too long. He made a mental note to try and come across the woman in one of his other forms when the chance arose, though not that he wouldn't mind more scritches.

Now... what had she been doing before getting sidetracked? Oh, yes, the stone reliefs.
