And on top of that, Marco was happy. Okay, so the whole ageing backwards things was a serious dampener, but he didn't care. His mother was alive, so Marco could forgive the whole being-on-an-insane-ship-with-tentacles-and-on-the-way-to-being-four-again thing.
But as much as he wanted to hover around near his mother every second of every day, just to make sure she was still there, he'd had to admit that he couldn't keep doing that all the time. Plus he was starting to suspect that his mom was getting a little tired of it. So he'd decided to come down to the media library instead, and play some of the really cool video games that either hadn't come out in his time yet or weren't even from his universe for a while.
Yeah, life was awesome.

"What's wrong?" Tailmon asked.
Hikari shook her head. "Nothing, just... the things that have been going on lately, you know?"
She didn't even notice that Marco was there yet. And then again, why would she. As far as she knew, Marco was nineteen years old.

"Hey, you there," he called out (What? He didn't know her name yet!), eying Tailmon. "What is it with the talking cat thing anyway?"

Tailmon just frowned at him. "My name is Tailmon."
Hikari let out a small smile after that. "She's my partner digimon. Back home we fought against digimon that were trying to take over the world together. But have we seen you before?"

He rolled his eyes. "Duh, course you have. I just happened to be older at the time. I'm Marco."

Tailmon glared over at Marco, but Hikari just moved her hand to keep her in place.
"Anyway, my name's Hikari."

God, this 'friend' of Hikari's was a dick.

Tailmon just sighed and turned to go get a book or something out.

He poked his head into the Media Library, hoping to find at least one of them in here.

"Hey," he said, non-committal.

< Enjoying yourself? > he asked to prevent the silence from becoming awkward.

Except then he trailed off. Because just at that moment, the Metling Clock stole a little more of Marco's time. Just enough that he wouldn't be able to remember who Ax was anymore...
He blinked, and stared at the Andalite. The Andalite! The only other Andalite Marco had met was Elfangor. "You're an Andalite," he said dumbly.

< Usually, yes, > he replied. < You don't remember me? > That meant that he was going to forget the war entirely soon -- the Animorphs hadn't been fighting for very long before they'd found Ax. And he had no idea how Marco and Rachel would react to him once they'd forgotten that. < My name is Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill. I'm Elfangor's younger brother. >

He didn't like this, having other people remembering him when he didn't remember them.
