A much-needed confession [Open, especially for Medical people!]
He'd put this off for far too long, for various reason which were, when he came down to it, simple cowardice. Fear of prejudice, fear of isolation... Nevertheless, the time had come to admit the truth.
So Lupin went to the med bay, seeking out a Healer -- best make it two or more, in case the worst should ever happen -- and hoping he could trust in a reasonable level of confidentiality.

And there somebody else who would have fell into the category of people Signum was attacking. Or maybe even did, he was in med bay after all. "Remus!" he called with a small smile but an overall curious look.

"You're okay, right? There was someone going around trying to attack people who had different sorts of powers..." he rubbed the back of his head. "So I'm not sure how many other people ran into her."

"So what's up? Not visiting a friend here, are you? With all the stuff that's happened over the last few weeks, I mean..."

"You're not hurt or something, are you? I can help if there's something up!"

He glanced up from the cabinet he was raiding, watching the man coming inside. "Hola. Something I can help you with?"

"It is not an emergency, but it is something I should have dealt with some time ago," he said as firmly as he could manage. "I was not entirely truthful during my medical examination when I should have been, and I need to correct that. The truth of the matter is that I am a werewolf, and enough of the people here should know that in case I endanger anyone."
There. He had said it. (It was certainly a testament to his particular view of things that he expected his words to be immediately understood.)

"You wouldn't be the first we've had, if I recall," Luis replied a moment later, after bringing himself back down from Science Town. "What's the nature of your condition, then? How often, how dangerous... that kind of thing."
no subject
"But I am not particularly different than any other werewolf. The light of the full moon changes me, and those I bite who survive during that time will also be infected. I had pretended that I was safe, with no moon here to cause me to change, but I can't truly think that will last forever."

He cleared his throat. "In any case, I think you're being very responsible in trying to let someone know. Worst case scenarios generally come true around here more often than I'm comfortable with."
"You know..." he added, but then seemed to drift off, changing his mind. "Oh, never mind."

He shook his head to clear it. "Know what?"

He'd been reading, relaxed in a chair, quiet and waiting for someone to need medical - or, as felt likely, recently, for the next crisis to make itself known - when the gentleman entered. "Hello, sir, are you injured? Do I need to call a doctor?" He rose, setting aside the book and scanning the man for visible injuries. Nothing jumped out at him, no signs of blood or anything obvious. But that didn't mean he hadn't been infected with whatever was causing the deaging hullabaloo.

"And it really would be best if Security were informed," he said with a sigh. "I realize this will affect my treatment and my freedom here, but it is better than accidentally harming someone."
no subject
He nodded. "Of course, Mr. Lupin. I'll make certian to pass this information along. But it will not affect your treatment here. Simply telling us will allow us to be prepared, as it is needed, but you have an illness. That doesn't mean you are any less deserving of fair treatment."

Suppressing the urge to draw his wand simply for comfort, he folded his hands in front of him. "Thank you for the kind sentiment, but I hold no illusions that many people might find me dangerous, and I truly am. I don't wish to hurt or infect anyone. With no moon I'm safe, but..." He spread his hands to indicate that, as the ship had proven to him, anything could happen.
