Ain't No Grave Can Hold My Body Down [Closed]
Dean had made sure to keep himself to the house. He was too worried about the next time he'd lose more memories to do much on the house expansions for now. It meant he spent his time pacing around like a caged tiger.
And then things shifted again. His hair became more mussed up, and his hands looked abraded and bleeding, like somebody who had to claw out of a coffin and the ground. He glanced around, trying to realize where he was. It wasn't Bobby's, and yet it seemed familiar. Everything was mixed up.
Sammy, he had to find his brother. Had to see him again after so long.
(ooc: closed, but open to anybody who'd be by the house or know the Winchesters well.)

She hadn't read a spell with another wizard in a very long time. Rhiow felt a sudden joyous thrill at that, her spirits lifting despite how badly she worried about Dean. "Let's begin."
"This is a hemispherical solid-state matter repellent barrier with an open-ended time parameter," she said with her wizardry behind it, and the universe sat up to pay attention.

"Power to be drawn from one thaumaturgical battery in the orath position, activated by power drawn from one Rhiw'aow and one Arhu." It felt good to be doing a larger wizardry like this with someone else, and he felt the universe lean in around them to listen, external sounds going quiet. He kept speaking as the pressure built up, and then they reached the word that was the equivalent of the wizard's knot, and power bled from him to put the spell into place.

"Rhiow's here," he said, stepping back. "Do you remember her?"

"...She's a talking cat right?"

She jumped up onto the bed, prancing into his lap. "We'll figure it out," she said. "And we'll fix it. And Ssam - we're going to have you raise the barrier when you need to."
*hopes backtagging this is okay* >.>
Heading back into the ehhif dwelling, he hopped up the stairs and padded into the room, peering around curiously, a little drift of black and white that was trying to stay out of the way.
Backtagging is love :)
Sam rubbed his face. "Right. Okay. As long as it doesn't require anything too complicated. I may not be all that together when I need to do it. So the less I have to remember, the better."

Then she sat back on her haunches and flexed her claws in a nearby tangle of hyperstrings, opening her claudication. She fished in it for a moment - to Sam and Dean it would look like her paw simply disappeared - and then flipped the thamaturgical battery out onto the bed. It glowed a soft greenish-blue. "All you have to do is drop this in the spot Arhu marked. D'hean, this is Arhu, by the way. He works with me at Grand Central."

The fact of the matter was, when Dean went back, there wasn't likely to be a lot of time before they needed to get that barrier up. "When I want to bring it down, do I basically do the reverse? Take the battery out and it stops working?" He reached over, trailing his fingers over Rhiow's back, taking a little comfort himself.

By which I mean I'll ask you to put some power into it, she said to Arhu in the mental dialect of the Speech. You're a lot younger than I am.

I can do that, he replied. He wasn't a powerhouse like Sif, but he was still a tom, and a damn fine wizard.

Dean thinking he was being chased by Hellhounds, for example. Trapping him in the house wouldn't help if that was the case.
