Med Bay: Part Two
With the end of Quarantine, all of the patients who'd been kept in the bubbles had been released (with the exception of those that Medical felt weren't safe to release), and brought back to the Med Bay proper. Some of them might leave, with family or friends to look after them, but others might remain in the Med Bay. Others still were only just arriving, their loss of time not discovered until after Quarantine had ended.
But regardless of whether the affected were staying in the Med Bay or leaving, until this crisis was solved, Medical would continue to check up on the them.

[Closed to Eva]
Didn't mean he felt comfortable trusting the guy while he was on the fast track to being six years old again.
With his back to the door, Marco sat on one of the beds fiddling around with his omnicomm as he tried to figure out whether it was better to stay in the Med Bay or head back to Cassie's.
Re: [Closed to Eva]
She pauses in the doorway for a moment, wondering if it would be better to turn back and let him stay relatively at peace. She knows she looks different than he'll remember her - older, scarred - and she doesn't know what story she should give for being gone. The honest one, maybe. How do you apologize for being dead? For being kidnapped? Does he know about the Yeerks yet?
She considers walking and just waiting it out until he deages to ten years old and his age just solves these problems.
"Marco?"
Re: [Closed to Eva]
He knew that voice. He'd heard it every day, right up until two years ago. But it couldn't...she was gone...
(Except Sakura had tried to tell him that his mother was here, hadn't she? And Elfangor had been here, even Marco had seen him die with his own eyes...)
For one moment he was almost too terrified to turn around, and find that he'd just been imagining things. But then he was spinning around before he could even thinking about it.
It was her His mom. Alive!
"Mom?" he whispered, staring at her like he was seeing a ghost. He was seeing a ghost. And if he hadn't already been sitting on the bed, he'd probably have fallen over.
Re: [Closed to Eva]
She's not Visser One to him anymore. She's not the rescued damsel to be protected at all costs. She's just his mother, returning.
"You didn't think I'd miss Mother's Day, did you?" she squeaks out through a choked voice.
Re: [Closed to Eva]
She was right there, and he still couldn't quite believe it. She was alive. Alive.
Re: [Closed to Eva]
Re: [Closed to Eva]
What do you even say to your dead mother?
Re: [Closed to Eva]
"Okay, sweetheart, I'm glad you missed me, but let's stop tangling up the Med Bay and go home," she whispers.
Re: [Closed to Eva]
Re: [Closed to Eva]
She drops her hand back to her side, rubbing her thumb and fingers together, deciding against asking. "I missed you, guagua." In that brief interim when the deaging first hit, but also in those years away. She sounds like she's never meant anything more.
