All Hail the Conquering Heroes! [OPEN]

((Takes place several hours after the conclusion of this))

They survived. More than that, it seemed as if they actually won; the Ohm had successfully been driven away from their location. The fight hadn't been easy, which one could easily tell just by looking at the Quarter as it docked in back in Stacy's Hangar.

It had a number of dents, dings, and scorch marks where the Ohm had made their presence felt. Thankfully, there was no obvious serious damage. Still, though every crew member who went out was coming back, one had to wonder about their condition, particularly since they sent ahead a request for medics to be on standby.

But now that the ship was fully docked, and the main hatch opened, it was time to find out.

"And you did some very nice shooting," Trudy said. "That Monster saved our ass a few times. It was good to have you with us."

It would be better once they got a trained pilot in that unit and were able to use it more as an artillery force, but in a pinch Chase had done very well. "Made it through without any major injuries, I see."

"Nah, got pretty banged up in the transform there... just cuts and bruises and all... I just regenerate." Useful talent. "Told you... if it shoots, I can shoot it... but currently, I can't fly... which means that thing wasn't as useful as it could be. You up for giving me some lessons?"

"Some time when I'm not occupied with running the pilots ragged, I'll be glad to. I'm going to try and make your training sessions when I can."

She'd been watching him drag ships around the hangar, and now his mention of regeneration cemented her curiosity. "You're not exactly human, are you? No offense," she added - just in case people still got offended on this ship.

That gets a laugh. "General, you're going to have to work a lot harder than that to offend me. No, I ain't human. Werewolf... not the 'on the full moon, I tear people up' kind, that's b-movie shit. The 'blessed by the Earth goddess, fighting to save a dying world' kind. If you know Wags or Plays, you know the type. If not... well, you're welcome to get to know me better." He figures that's not too informal or out of line.

"Definitely come by the training sessions... I'd be happy to teach you some small unit work and martial arts in trade for the flying lessons, we can both help each other out."

"Werewolf," she said - not disbelieving or judgmental because how could you be, on this ship? "Huh, that's a new one."

Trudy looked around at the pilots being helped by Medical, scanning the crowd to make sure nobody else needed to talk to her. It looked like everything was well in hand, and she needed to unwind. "I seem to remember you offering to get me a drink. Has someone showed you the beer tree yet?" She needed to be somewhere quieter, and hydroponics was relaxing.

"Beer tree? General, you're talking my language. I think I'm caught up here. I'll need to come back later to help engineering... but my style of fixing things works better with another engineer working with me... so... I got some time, and we definitely need to celebrate.... lead on. I got to see this beer tree thing."

"It's in Hydroponics. It's just... a little quieter than everything going on around here." She nodded her head to Setsuna, refusing to be taken to Medical... or mostly to the doctors and pilots and people milling around in general. She needed a break and she needed to be able to relax.

((OOC: Can we continue in Hydroponics later? I'm kind of swamped with tags at the moment.))

Relaxing is good, no question, and he's already demonstrated he's fine. "Sounds good, lead the way. I'd follow you anywhere."

[ooc: Yep, hit me up any time, no rush.]
