Go shoot, beyblade! [Totally Open]
If there was one thing Hoshi knew, it was to not let your body wane in strength. After getting her feet wet in what went on and the basics of the ship, she decided to go to the Sensoriums. The process of recreating the area where her team usually frequented was a bit complicated, but there it was.
It was a warehouse, the same one her and her teammates trained in. It was also big enough to run around in as well as beyblade in. There were a stack of boxes to one side as well as some equipment to train if the need was present. She was dressed in a simple white t-shirt and a pair of black shorts. Her hair was tied up into a ponytail with her hair away from her face.
She had one hand down on the ground, supporting her weight on her arm as her other arm was bent and behind her back. Her toes were firm against the ground and her body was in perfect push up position.
After a while of doing this, she got up and panted. She moved her arm up to dab at the sweat that collected on her forehead before she shook her head. Training was always fun and it was definitely needed after some time of not doing it.

She then heard his next question, smiling more. "A beyblading team. We compete in tournaments regionally as well as around the world. What beyblades are is a top that's designed to be sturdy, able to go fairly fast, and then some."
no subject
"They're spinning tops that you manipulate?" That sounded fun, at least, though he was wondering if the physical training was related.
Maybe it was a hobby, like the training must have appeared to be for him. Nerds aren't usually this interested in athleticism, and that had made him the target of speculation back home.
no subject
"Yep, pretty much. We can tell or motion them where to go and they'll follow it," she explained, before adding on-- "The physical training is how we make sure we can actually last in the stadium long enough. Sometimes, the matches get so intense that parts of the dish are damaged, or the stadium itself. Sometimes it's enough to knock someone out."
But, he wasn't far off the mark when it was considered a hobby. While it was a sport, it was also something she enjoyed heavily. Throughout the example she gave him, she was still watching over him, nodding every so often to mentally record his progress thus far.

Billy's motions became smoother as he worked at it. Tiredness built up too, but his confidence was faster to accumulate.
"This is a welcome change. I'm used to being thrown around on the training mat."
no subject
Good. He's improving. He must learn fast,> Hoshi noticed, remarking it to herself with a smile full of pride.
"Well, throwing someone around on a training mat doesn't help matters any. Letting someone gradually improve by doing what you're doing does."
no subject
"Not so in martial arts," Billy chuckled, remembering all the bruises he'd learned there. "I was trained in a way similar to yours on my world, but here combat training involves getting knocked down. The goal is to get hit by the throws and hits until you learn to stop it. One of my best friends has been training me to block her throws the hard way."
His shoulders weren't very thankful for that. He tended to land on them often.
no subject
"That's very interesting. Another thing about me is that my father's a military man for the Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces, so to help me out, he gave me some military training. It wasn't pretty when I started out," she sheepishly admitted while scratching the back of her head, nervously laughing in addition to that.

Billy started to shift into stretching while he waited for further instruction. "I was the same way. I was the only one of my friends who wasn't an athlete when we started fighting, so I had to be trained quickly. You'd laugh if you knew how many times I fell on my face. I'm surprised my nose survived this long."

"I normally wouldn't have been so impatient with myself, but we were fighting a war. I needed to survive, and my friends protected me until I could fight on my own."
no subject
"Well, we all have something we struggle with. Like, I have a huge problem with resting! Once I'm up, I can't stop going." She didn't mind making fun of herself for the sake of others. That was what being a friend meant.
no subject
And he was finally trying to work on that! Really.
"That, or I'm training. I still have a long way to go if I want to fight as effectively as everyone else."
no subject
"Well, with my help, you'll be in tip top shape to kick ass!" she said while clapping both of her hands together with an even bigger grin tugging on her lips.

Billy then started moving through some more complex stretches, feeling for the strain and backing off when it was too much. "Just tell me when to come by for a beyblade demonstration. I'm looking forward to it."
no subject
Hoshi noticed how he was feeling strained, monitoring him very closely with her eyes. "Take a break for now, Billy," she commented while handing him the water jug to cool himself down.
"I could show you what it's like in here, if you'd like."
no subject
"It would be my honor to see it," he smiled.

"'Three, two, one...!'" said the announcer as the countdown was given. Her beylauncher was shown upside down with the blade base in the air. She quickly turned it around and had a steady hand on her ripcord.
"'Go shoot, Seraphiel!'" called her memory self as both of the beyblades clashed, sparks flashing as the crowd was still cheering them on. The match went underway before her memory self decided it was time to declare an attack. Memory!Hoshi gathered in a breath and thrust her hand in the air, it gripped tightly into a fist.
"'Seraphiel! Cast judgment upon all ye who are guilty!'" said the memory while a brilliant white light came forth from her beyblade as her arm came down. Feathers came up and rained down as the beyblade itself attacked its' opponent from all sides, clashing at it with immense power and strength. While all of this was going on, the angelic form of Seraphiel came out of his bit chip and started to assault the opponent's holy beast with his cross.
"What do you think?"
no subject
The beyblades themselves were impressive enough, but the attacks?
"Prodigious..." Billy whispered in awe, watching the clash of the beasts. "The technology to create that system must have been quite involved. How many different types of beyblades exist?"
no subject
"Well, it's not exactly a system. The holy beasts themselves are real beings. They're mostly inside of their bit chips, but since I woke up here, Seraphiel somehow got out of his chip. I don't mind it, though, since it's nice to have a companion from home. But, anyway, a lot of them exist. My personal one's Seraphiel AV4. I'm looking to upgrade it to a Heavy Metal System, though."
no subject
"Seraphiel's always with you, then?"
no subject
The both of them were through quite a lot and had a lengthy history with one another, but the bond with them was inseparable.
no subject
Time for more questions, then! "Then can anyone learn to use the beyblades?"
no subject
She nodded at his next question and smiled. "Of course! It takes a bit, but once someone has their feet wet with it, the possibilities are endless with customization for just what you need."
no subject
"Can they be built by someone with the right knowledge, or would an item only found on your world be needed?"
