Team Meeting (closed to Team India)
Sparhawk has been spending a fair bit of time in the sensoriums, making sure that his shoulder is as fit for duty as any of his old body is. It's healed fully (which amazes him), but he's still wary. Being appointed the leader of Team India means that he wants to be in the best shape that he can be. Leadership is a job that he takes very seriously.
Which is why he is currently sitting in the Obs Deck, precariously balanced on one of the fleshy couches (he's fairly sure that he can feel it moving underneath him). He's looking intently at his Omnicom, and ever so slowly, making notes. He's starting to get the hang of this new technology.
Finally satisfied with whatever he's been working on, he stops, and looks up, pointedly avoiding looking in the direction of the statue. His left hand clenches, his thumb absently running itself over the ruby ring there. Here's it's nothing more than a reminder of his past, but it's comforting. His thumb moves to the new ring, just above it. The comns ring. He's rather unclear on how the things work, but, he'll use it.
Not sure of the best way to use it, he closes his eyes, and concentrates.
Members of Team India, please join me in the Obs Deck for a meeting. If you can't make it, I'll come to you later.
Now he waits to see if he actually managed to work the thing.

Temperance looks over as Booth and Leela walk in, and she nods a greeting to both of them. "Does anyone know where we can acquire guns? I can take care of myself," she looks over at Sparhawk. "And really I don't need anyone defending me."
Booth would know that's true. Temperance doesn't like the whole damsel in distress thing.

"I do not think that here we have the luxury for bad memories," he speaks to Booth. "There is no shame in killing in defense."
And yes, he's had this discussion with acolytes before. He just missed out the bit about the defense of Church and Crown.
"While new skills with weapons are good," and this one goes to Leela. "I don't want to force any of this team into using something they either don't want to, or cannot. We can come up with tactics to suit the skills of everyone"
In other words, if he can't hit a barn door with a gun, he'll do something useful like defend those that can actually aim at what they're hitting.
"We may have to quest into the depths of the lockers to find weapons," and yes, that was a little humour. This is Sparhawk's element.

"I wonder if we can get in there, into the lockers" Booth can usually find things as well as people very well, being FBI, but he still has little clue about the workings of this ship. "We can make them in those sensory things, but anything you try to take out disappears. I tried it." He'd like to have some actual guns too.
"Are you going to start pestering me for one again if we get them?" he asks Brennan, half serious, half joking. "Although I never thought I'd say this but it might not be a bad idea around here if you had one."

"Besides, I don't think I'd need to be 'pestering' you for a gun in this place." She glances over at Sparhawk. "I don't believe the FBI has any sort of jurisdiction in outer space."

"I'm sure that Dr. Brennan wouldn't shoot a member of the crew, unless it was proved necessary," he says.
