Space Invaders!

After everyone and all of their ships were properly loaded the Quarter had launched successfully. The journey from Stacy to the Trojan Asteroid field trailing NiSaris took several hours, but they managed to approach the field with the people of the nearby world being none the wiser.

The problem was that the NiSarians weren't the only ones watching the skies.

As the Quarter approached and entered the asteroid field, all was quiet. But it was only going to be a matter of moments before that would change.

Part of Jamie's mind fought against the idea of Lash putting herself in that vulnerable of a position - what if something went wrong while she was doing that? There'd be nothing he could do, and he hated the thought. But the rest of him knew that it would give them the best chance at achieving their goal.

"Be careful," he echoed. "We can't afford to lose ye, Lash." His hands slid over the controls, turning the Thunder Megazord towards Serpentera and aiming for that spot on its head that would provide the best area to dock. As they started to close, the impact of the Shrikes attacks started to come more often as they picked up on the fact that backup was on the way.

"Andy or Kate, I'll need one of ye to take up the slack for her while she concentrates," he said, as a particularly strong blast shook the mecha. "Ron, can we deploy the smokescreen again to try and get some of these wee pests off of us?"

"Between us both, we should be ok." She was still managing the wings and steering. Kate didn't like the idea of Lash being on her own either. They needed to make sure she was covered as well. It had been a hard fight so far against the Ohm, and this one looked the roughest of all.

"Alright, got it!" Andy said, ready to concentrate and do whatever he needed to do to make sure Lash and the others were safe and they got through this.

"Don't worry about me," she sad in a bitter chuckle, thankful that her helmet was hiding away the sweat that had already formed on her forehead. "Once you guys notice that the Zord moves faster, you'll need to navigate to Serpentera as fast as possible. It should be a lot easier, but with all the stupid ugly Ohm out there it's not going to be easy. Uh...."

She went quiet, signaling that she was starting to concentrate.

The emptiness of space. This was different than fighting on the ground. She recalled a few years ago building giant ships for Black Hole and their dreams of space travel. Well, here she was, the lone survivor and- No wait! Not the time to think of that. She could hear the shots being fired all around her. Something blew up in her controls and she flinched from the damaged sustained. That's right. Just keep shooting, you dumb...aliens! The CO's powers increased from the damage the units had sustained...but they were in a much larger unit than the ones she used to command. Adding Serpentera just made it ridiculous.

Alright. Here goes nothing.

It was hard to just imagine the other zords and the giant floating dragon death fortress but she somehow managed it.

And...there! Prime Tactics!

The movement wasn't really necessary but she pushed her arms outwards, passing the energy to the others. She bit down her lip from the pain caused by the energy in space, but thankfully the suit kept her from just passing out. Hopefully the zord would suddenly feel like its attack increased and defenses strengthened. Combined with the faster movement, it might be just what they needed. Serpentera would feel it soon too.

"Go now!" she yelled. She fought back the urge to vomit and tightened her grip on the control so she didn't fall over.
