Space Invaders!

After everyone and all of their ships were properly loaded the Quarter had launched successfully. The journey from Stacy to the Trojan Asteroid field trailing NiSaris took several hours, but they managed to approach the field with the people of the nearby world being none the wiser.

The problem was that the NiSarians weren't the only ones watching the skies.

As the Quarter approached and entered the asteroid field, all was quiet. But it was only going to be a matter of moments before that would change.

Well, that's shit she had to nip in the bud. "Ensign Splicer, you've got fire watch when we're back on the Quarter. Your guns should be talking, not you."

Harsh? Maybe. But fraternizing was nothing to joke about, especially under fire.

"W-what?! C'mon commander!" though he was still smirking, and he knew not to push his luck either. She seemed the serious, no jokes while working type and he'd been in too many of those, and tater peeling duties, to know just when to open his mouth.

He simply turned on the tune matrix in his cockpit and went on a shooting spree to the beat of the music, keeping his alert on full and avoiding doing anything but hit and runs and cover runs for those in the middle of the hornets.

"You got it, Kira!" Despite her hurt foot, Allenby had no intention of leaving the battle. Even if it looked like the Wraith had recovered, she'd stick by it and make sure he didn't take another hit like that.

And she was quickly coming to understand that impressive as Nobel Gundam's abilities might be on her Earth, they really weren't a match for the engineering of Celestial Being, Duo, and Kira's Gundams. But she was still fast and relentless. Hit-and-run sounded perfect right now--get the bastards mad and lure 'em into the range of the big guns.

"Hey buddy, ya wanna work together to see how mad we can make these guys?" she said, opening a private channel to Wraith.

"I'm hearing beautiful words." He snickered, "What'd ya have in mind?"

He let loose plasma mine net in the path of some Shrikes that were on hot pursuit before veering off fast towards Allenby's location. The plasma net enveloped the incoming attackers and immediately blew up dealing massive close range damage if not eliminating them completely.

She raised her eyebrows at the explosion from Splicer's latest mine net. Nice.

"Well, how 'bout we set a maze for these guys? You lay your traps in stealth mode and I'll lead 'em right through it. That ought keep any of them from goin' after you personally."

"Sounds like an awesome plan! Workin' on it. Setting up at my coordinates and sending you their locations so you don't run into it." was his reply as he set off to place the minefield. Once he found a suitable location near the battle he started scattering his plasma mine nets. They hovered, moving up and down slightly with a green glow before disappearing, becoming a similar color to the deep space.

Once that was done, he relayed the coordinates to both Allenby, so she could enact her plan, and the rest of the flights so they could avoid the area.

"All you~!" He called out with a small cheer.

Allenby watched as the nets were set in place and then vanished. Those were a nasty little trick, and she figured anything that would thin out the Ohm was worth trying. They're people, she reminded herself. Probably. But I still have to do this.

"Got it!" she replied as soon as the coordinates popped up on her display. She lowered the beam ribbon's power again as she soared in, lashing out at Shrikes to grab their attention before soaring away into the minefield. "Hey boys, just see if you can catch me!"

[ooc: I forgot to post this before, but these (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNvUzpGFRAw) are the noises her weapon makes. For serious.]

Well ain' that the weirdest mech style I've ever seen... Flashy tho! Splicer thought to himself as he got into position to intercept any that got too close to her.

"Right through there ma'am, they'll never see et' comin' haha!" he wooped as he saw her dragging them along like a piper!
