Space Invaders!
After everyone and all of their ships were properly loaded the Quarter had launched successfully. The journey from Stacy to the Trojan Asteroid field trailing NiSaris took several hours, but they managed to approach the field with the people of the nearby world being none the wiser.
The problem was that the NiSarians weren't the only ones watching the skies.
As the Quarter approached and entered the asteroid field, all was quiet. But it was only going to be a matter of moments before that would change.
((ooc: See this post for instructions, but otherwise, have at it, and have fun.))

"Charging high-density condensed particles." The unit at Seravee's back dilates and expels (http://i.imgur.com/Ul0C0.png) a haze of particles like green fire, smothering the communications systems of anyone unfortunate enough to be within range.
"GN Bazooka, releasing condensed particles!" Is Tieria's final warning before his fingers hug the triggers, and the cannons crackle (http://i.imgur.com/s4qSA.png) with tension before discharging (http://i.imgur.com/xVXhX.png) twin columns of raw energy. They streak through the cold expanse of space and cleave a horde of incoming asteroids clear in half. Like a hot knife to butter. The remains are vaporized in an instant, leaving behind only a plume of smoke and debris.

As soon as he had noticed them, Setsuna fired into the oncoming swarm of Shrikes to draw their attention. Once he had it, he switched his weapons back to blade mode and flew into the swarm. He was slicing through the Shrikes left and right, and despite the fact that he was quickly surrounded, he wasn't very worried about the situation.

"Haro," he ordered his copilot. "Re-calibrate the systems for shorter-range sniping. Let's clear the air around Setsuna and Exia."
"Roger! Roger!"
Moments later, both of Dynames's short-range weapons were out and ready. "Setsuna!" he warned before firing rapidly.

And people say he doesn't understand teamwork...
"We need to keep pushing forward."

"How far forward?" he asked, already making adjustments for slightly longer-range shooting.

A lone pair of Shrikes that had remained on course with the heavily armored Gundam are roughly met with a solid sphere of particles. They withdraw, disoriented, only to be carved apart by the unforgiving blade of a beam saber.
Seravee pivots to face its teammate Gundams.
"We'll flank the squadrons. Allelujah!"

"Hey, Green--" Michael's voice was slightly overconfident as he addressed the Dynames. "--tell me you can hit targets at a longer range than that. I know a pop star who could probably hit it at this range."

"Really, at a time like this," he said quietly. But he couldn't afford to be distracted by his exasperation. Following through on Tieria's order, Allelujah swooped Arios into a sharp nosedive towards the remaining asteroids in Seravee's wake.

Tieria's (indignant) voice is the first to come through Michael's intercom.
"Watch your fire, Michael Blanc."
Detaching the GN bazookas from the Gundam's shoulder cannons, Tieria steers Seravee after Arios without so much as a 'thank you' for the VF pilot's sharpshooting.

Really?
That guy wanted to start some kind of pissing contest now? In the middle of a battlefield among the corpses of his enemies?
Was he serious?
...actually, now that Setsuna thought about it, that guy probably was serious.
In retrospect, Setsuna probably should've seen this coming. After all, white guy; blonde hair; career soldier; pilots
some version of the Flaga variable fighter that he thinks is the greatest machine ever invented (even though it isn't); likely exceptionally skilled when compared to the people he's normally surrounded by, but so enamored with himself that he assumes that same skill gap exists between everyone else ever and him (it doesn't); probably needs his ego fed in order to feel better about some grand screw up in his past that twisted him...Yeah, Setsuna had seen that all before. And he saw what happened when such a desperate ego got smacked in the face with a brutal dose of reality. He wasn't interested in experiencing any of that again.
"Ignore him," he instructed. "Keep pushing forward until we find what we came here for." They had an objective to complete, after all. Michael can go find someone else to entertain him in the midst of all this carnage.

To Michael, he simply tossed out: "I hit what needs to be hit."
Scanning the field, he settled on his targeted area and locked on.
"Targeted," he announced. He just needed these damned things to stay still long enough for him to hit.

Rushing the remains of the asteroid field, Allelujah let loose a hail of submachine gun fire. His Gundam nimbly skimmed the asteroid surfaces, beam saber drawn and carving at Firebug legs one after the other.
