The Very Scary, And Very Expensive Forest

The journey had been set, and the teams were off, following a path in what appeared to be a disorganized clutter of people through the Enchanted Forest.

The further you go in however, the further you feel like this forest is not quite right. For one thing, it looks far too over budget to be natural. Lots of flowers and trees and stuff everywhere.

Secondly, you get the idea that you're being followed. Or watched or a number of the two.

Wait, was that a rustle in the bushes somewhere?

(ooc: three event threads, you can tag into them at your pleasure. They'll go up over the course of today and such and there's plenty to go around.)

That forest seemed to grow murky as you and your comrades set forth on this grand mission. There was movement in the bushes, things with little eyes watching you.

And yet, something is creeping up in a rather stealthy, if obvious manner.

Dawn, blissfully unaware of the creeping, obvious thing was humming a light tune to herself while Piplup was perched on her hat as lookout while the Coordinator kept her allies in sight.

Einhart sighed, taking a deep breath as she continued walking through the... forest. Unlike Dawn, she knew that they were being followed, and was just waiting for them to make an obvious mistake before she tried to strike.

After all, for all she knew, they could be trying to get her to attack them and have a trap laid for them.

And then there was Beastboy, riding his assistant like a horse while the assistant clopped the coconuts together.

"I don't know but it's been said, we're on a mission we're not yet dead! Become a knight and you'll go far! In suspenders and a bra!" He chanted cheerfully and burst out laughing.

For the moment, Alistair just clapped along, though he had a big, too-many-teeth grin on his face.

Not that he was really sure what suspenders or bras were, either.

The Chancellor glanced to Alistair. "It is still unclear what the coconuts are for."

That moving form? There were more of them. They were coming and circling the group at a rather quick rate now. Those with keen senses can tell that they're creeping up on them.

"Are we to presume this is an ambush?" The Chancellor eventually asks, looking over the figures.

Einhart nodded. "It... looks like it."

"Ambush?" Beastboy's voice cracked nervously and looking around "Aw come on dude I'm not even armed. Gimmie a sword or something.

"Sir if I may?" Beastboy's minion offered with a relaxed polite smile.

"Huh? Oh yeah alright!"

Beastboy sprang from the assistants back and scooped him up with surprising strength holding him like a bat. "Alright you dudes! Show yourselves!"

The forms dashed into view and there stood an imposing group of men, if it weren't for the ragged commando-knight look they sported. One of them sported a herring.

"Halt!" exclaimed the lead in a high voice. "You... are trespassing... in the enchanted forest! We... are the Knights Who Say... NI!"

The Chancellor blinks calmly. "In reference to the part of the human body, or to status at birth?"

"Nothing of the sort!" barked the leader. "To get through our lands, you must pay the toll!"

The clanging of metal on metal could be heard ringing through the forest. There was the distinct sound of a fight going on, and it was directly on your way through.

Arriving at the scene, there lay a dead man and a imposing figure standing impassively in the middle of the road.

He is giving you a look.

That look is met directly even as the guy wandering after Chase stops clacking the coconuts. As the big man draws his weapon, his other follower responds by rattling his foil to 'special effects' a dramatic and ominous thunderclap in.

"You two done and getting the hell out of the way now?"

Said Knight is impassive, as he stands there, not flinching from the way Chase stared him down. "None shall pass," he intoned.

"Oh, you have got to be fucking kidding me."

He glances at whoever else came along with him. "Anyone really feeling violent, or shall I get this fucker out of our way?"
