[OPEN] Claustragoraphobia while wandering the city...

Superboy still was quite unsure what exactly Stacy was. His images of space ships were at the largest the size of the Enterprise or the like. Large to be sure, but not large enough to hold a city. Which is where he was. Rather than being shocked at the size of the city in the ship, he was questioning whether this was really a ship at all. Despite the fact that everyone, including apparently the ship itself, was telling him that; he found it hard to believe.

Being used to Justice Mountain and only have a few people he knew around most of the time wasn't helping really and he felt... perhaps a bit claustrophobic? Or was it agoraphobic? Was it possible to feel BOTH claustrophobic and agoraphobic at the same time? Superboy wasn't sure. That seemed like a contradiction and yet he was uncomfortable with both the vastness of the city and the way the sheer number of people around him invaded his normally empty personal space.

As such he spent his time wandering the city, looking at stuff and generally trying to avoid being noticed... likely to little success given the large S shield he was wearing and general unease.

Oh, hey, look, it was that guy from earlier. He was looking distinctly more uncomfortable than he was last time, though. Zouichi hefted his bike a little higher, quickening his speed to catch up.

"Superboy," he called out in greeting.

Zouichi set the motorcycle back down, looking a little curious. "Is there something wrong?"

Besides the whole 'your world is destroyed' thing, that is.

"It is," he said, shrugging, "If you want quiet, though, you can find it."

"Sorry about earlier."

"Oh, not that. You'd just arrived, learned your world was destroyed, and the first thing I asked was if I could punch you."

Uh oh. "Did... you not receive that explanation?"

A slight breeze occurred, despite the still air of the city. The wind was courtesy a flying teen, moving just fast enough so that anyone without enhanced senses would be unlikely to spot him.

He'd been spotted. Again. He was definitely slipping. ALthogh really the thoughts running through his head would trip up anyone.

Clark floated back. "So, I assume you saw that?"

[identity profile] noboothneeded.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
It was always a little awkward, when talking to someone who was even more reticent than you were, Clark thought. "You're not really that talkative, are you?"

[identity profile] noboothneeded.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"I was just commenting on it, really," Clark responded truthfully

"You kinda wandered off before I had a chance to give you the rest of the spiel, little buddy. Did anyone else talk to you about it?"

There was that very familiar, slightly older voice again, coming up behind him.

"About that..." Kon said, rubbing his neck. "You might want to sit down for a second."

"Okay then," Kon swung his arms back and forth, nervously.

Then, with great solemnity, he said, "It wasn't BS."

"Your loved ones, friends, probably even the League--they were saved. Pod Caverns are big. Lot of people have found family in there, friends, mentors..."

Superboy sucked in a deep breath.

"It's everyone else--but! But there's a chance if we take down the Ohm, we can bring our worlds back. That's what we're all fighting the big fight for, you know? The never-ending battle. Except, hopefully...it'll end. With us fixing it all."
