Again [Open]

There was a certain poetic irony in being released from GlaDOS now. While Matt was feeling really good about himself, there was probably something important he had missed. Even with Aqua's support that had stayed with him, he needed to go see the woman and talk about the darkness that he had noticed creeping up once in a while during when GlaDOS was being a pain in the butt.

As such, he was making his way briskly towards Sasami's home, hoping to find her, or anyone else in the vicinity that could get him up to date.

(ooc: please be informed that I have someone who's going to tell him about Katara. Tis be Maydril. So anything after that assume the worst.)

Maydril had never dealt with the wicked computer, at least to her knowledge, but she had heard tales told of it quite enough and had lost friends and family both to it, at times. Why dignify it with a name?

The sudden appearance, or reappearance in this case, of Matt certainly explained a few things. She hurried her pace in an attempt to catch up, silently cursing her shorter legs all the while.

"Matt! That is you, yes?" she called.

"Are you all right?" That was the first question out of her mouth--and of course it had to be. Maydril was well aware of what was going on, even if she did not entirely understand it.

She clapped a hand on his shoulder in a hailing gesture, and abruptly tugged him into a hug.

"Yes," May responded. There was no reason to lie--if Matt did not find out from her, there were many other people who could or would tell him--and perhaps with less tact or care.

"Katara...she has gone back to the pods. I am so sorry." The words weren't enough, but they were the truth, and all she had.

"I am so sorry," Maydril repeated, voice soft. She did not move until the first cold sensations started to trickle through her armor, and then she could not help but squirm.

"What is--" She pushed away, though not roughly, eyes widening as she saw the darkness trickling from between Matt's fingers.

"Oh, no," the half-elf whispered.

"Perhaps it is affected by your emotional state," Maydril said. It made sense to her, in any case. Not to mention that such a thing was commonplace, where she was from.

"And, saying such, perhaps we ought to head to the Sensoriums." Because Maydril was not about to tell Matt that he had to squelch his emotions.
