Bath house Upgrades

It had been some time since the idea had been raised, the upgrade to the bath house based on an unintended but rather beneficial side effect to the initial construction that had led to the tiles above the sauna to heat up to a rather pleasant level especially so for those reptilian crew members aboard. The intent of the upgrade to make use of the unintended side affect along with some additional heating to provide second level to the bath house containing a series of larger heating pads of a variety of textures for those who wished to use them.

Thus here she was, materials gathered and ready to be used in the upgrades, the bath house closed off for the short period of the construction. The plans for the upgrade projected in a holographic manner from a crystal device not unlike the one that hung around her neck, the plans available for any to observe. With everything in place and ready to begin, all she had to do was wait for those who wished to assist her to arrive.

Billy strolled up to his infrastructure leader cheerfully, dressed for work in a hot area and tools in his hand. He studied the hologram for a minute, twirling the needed tools in his hand and nodding to her.

"Celena, hey! Have we started yet?"

Celena gave a smile Billy's way as he approached, checking once more over the materials gathered for the impending construction. "Hello Billy, not as yet, I was waiting for others to arrive before starting on the renovations, I'm glad that you could make it. Everything is ready to go once others arrive,"

Billy helped her check with a quick comparison, still quite energetic about this despite the heat. "Great, so we're fully prepared. How's the job been for you?"

He sorted his own tools into convenient places for work while he asked, all ready to get going like an eager puppy.

She dipped her head to him lightly at his comment as he finished that quick comparison, "Indeed, with help it shouldn't be all too hard a task," Celena replied with a smile across to him before looking over the bathhouse.

"It has been going well thus far, thank you, and how have things been for you lately?" Tilting her head curiously, after all he did seem quite cheerful and eager, certainly not a bad attitude though.

Billy took a sip from his water flask, deciding that was slightly more productive than chomping at the bit to work.

"Great, actually. I've met some great people and enjoyed myself more than I have in a while. Sometimes things aren't so bad."

Celena dipped her head with a warm smile as he spoke, "I am glad to hear it then Billy, even in such times as these one can still enjoy the company of others here, and indeed such a thing is not so bad at all," she replied cheerfully with a light grin, she herself after all had been rather enjoying the company of another specific individual of late.

Billy agreed whole-heartedly. "It gives you a strong motivator to complete your work, doesn't it? Time with people who have become family, or better than family."

He decided to ask as he worked---it couldn't hurt, right?

"Are you going home to someone today?"

Celena couldn't help but agree with his sentiment, that he had such a someone was clear enough to her, especially given his eager and cheerful demeanor currently, "Very much so, to spend time with those with whom we have bonds, be they family, friends or closer,"

She let his question hang but a moment as she moved a larger support beam to where it could be more easily accessed for those who would help with the shoring up before giving a soft grin across to him, "You could say that, though whether he'll be there, or experimenting in his lab at the time is another matter," she replied with a shake of her head and a chuckle.

"I would gather that you yourself have a particular someone to return to?" She posed in turn as she too worked.

"The call of the lab," Billy answered with a wistful smile. "It's always a hazard to the scientist in love."

Between his work hours and Ronnie's, that was becoming all too clear to him. He checked everything's position once again, shuffling some items into easier reach for an efficient building process.

"I do," he admitted quietly. "She's as likely to be in the lab as your partner is, but once we finish our work, everything's wonderful. Is that how it feels for you too?"

Celena dipped her head with a warm smile, "Quite so, such a hazard for dragons and wizards as well it would seem," She replied with a soft chuckle. Watching him with a thoughtful smile even as she let her thoughts drift on her times with Aibghalien.

"It is indeed...the time together is wonderful indeed," she replied sincerely before tilting her head softly, she had suspicions, but she hoped he didn't mind asking, "I'm curious, who might the lucky one be for you?"

SWOOSH! CRASH!

Something had just zoomed by and crashed nearby the bathhouse. Not long after the half orc girl groaned and dusted herself up as she stood, picking up her tool belt and her backpack. She looked over in the direction of Celena with an embarrassed look.

"R-ready and willin' ta work!" She tried to play off the goof with an awkward smile. She'd have to fix those damn rocket boots one way or another damnit!

Celena blinked and looked over as that particular something crashed nearby, padding over to see the familiar figure, shaking her head with a chuckle as she saw that her friend was no worse for wear.

"Quite the entrance Ronnae," She commented with a wide smile, "You're help would be welcome, the plans are just over there if you wish to have a look, we'll firstly need to remove a good portion of the roofing in preparation for the added supports and heating vents for the second floor,"

She blushed and rubbed the back of her head awkwardly with a goofy grin. "Rocket boots. They've always had one fault or another. I haven't managed to perfect them yet, but one day!"

She looked over and nodded, starting to walk towards the plans. She flexed playfully, noticing not many had arrive yet and safe that no one but Celena could see her. "I can definitely do that myself." She mused happily, glad she felt so comfortable around Celena to show some pride.

She chuckled softly and tilted her head with a good manner of curiosity, "Rocket Boots? Would you mind me having a look at them sometime? They sound quite interesting," She gave a soft grin as she spoke, watching as Ronnae walked on over to the plans.

"Good to hear, these areas of the roof in particular are needed to be stripped back first, so that the ducts can be emplaced and the supports, here, here and here shored up to take the greater weight of the second floor and those who may use it," She explained, pointing out the portions of the roof and supports in question on the holographic plan, that Ronnae was confident in showing her pride was a good thing.

"Sure! I'd love to, they're one of my favorite inventions." She laughed a bit awkwardly considering it also was the one that wasn't always working as intended, yet she still loved them.

She listened intently, taking note of where she was going to need to start the process. Once Celena had finished explaining, she gave her a thumbs up and a small smile. "Right, I'm on it then. I'll start stripping then." She added before her face turning red quickly, "the roof I mean! Stripping the roof!" she added hurriedly looking embarrassed.

With that she moved towards the required areas and began to work diligently.

"Oh indeed? I look forward to looking over them," She replied cheerfully with a chuckle, "but that's for another time,"

Celena dipped her head as she gave the thumbs up, raising an eyeridge with an amused smirk at that, chuckling softly, "But of course, if you need any assistance in the task or any particular tools feel free to call me over and I'll see what I can do,"

She bowed with an appreciative smile, "Will do! I'm just glad I can help." She continued working on the roof unless she was needed elsewhere.

She had been present for the initial construction of the bathhouse: it seemed only right that she be here and lend a hand to the next part of the bathhouse. She had never met Celena properly though, and she was happy to get the chance to do so now.

"Hi!" She greeted brightly. "I saw the message you left on the comm! How can I help?"

An understandable reason as any to help out, just as Celena herself had helped construct and aided in the design of the bathhouse. She may have seen the other around the the ship at times, though a name did not immediately spring to mind as she gave a cheerful dip of her head in greetings.

"Hello there! I don't believe we've met before," She replied with a cheerful enough smile before she went on,"In any regard, the main parts to be worked on currently are removing the roofing, shoring up support for the second level and pre-constructing a number of the sections that can then be moved into place once the frame work is complete," She explained easily as she gestured to the hologram nearby with the plans, indicating each section as she spoke, "Is there any particular part you may wish to assist with?"

For her part, she was sorry not to have introduced herself to this person: she definitely seemed to be someone that knew what she was doing. Now that she thought about it, hadn't she also had a hand in constructing the bathhouse?

"My name is Katara, of the Southern Water Tribe in my world." She gave the dragon a reassuring smile, then focused on the tasks mentioned, thinking of what might be best for her. "I think I'll help with the shoring up part. What are we doing it with?"

Celena herself was always interested in meeting new people, no matter the situation. Dipping her head in return to Katara's introduction. "A pleasure to meet you Katara," She replied easily with a smile before nodding at her choice of task.

"We've materials and additional support beams that can be used for the task, if you need any assistance with the task I will be happy to see help," Indicating the area off to the side which contained the mentioned materials.

Katara gave a grateful bow, then looked over at all of the gathered materials. Yes, this was definitely going to be a time consuming thing, and likely it would take most of the day. It was just as well though: she would have probably spent that time training or mingling with friends.

"I'll be glad to let you know," Katara said, then got herself ready. She rolled up her sleeves, tied her back into a ponytail and got to work.

Construction might not be a particular passion of hers, but heating areas were. Jeka wasn't about to be kept away from this by anything short of a fight or Security duties!

"Hello Celena," she called, slithering through the air to avoid taking the long way through the streets. "Where would you like me to start?"

Celena greeted her cheerfully with a dip of her head and a smile, "Hello Jeka," She replied in turn before gesturing to the plans floating in the air not too far away. "Feel free to have a look over the design for the second level," After all she did want to make sure they were suitable for Jeka given the idea had come from her discovery.

"There are a number of tasks currently needed, I've someone already to strip the roof, however we'll need to shore up and reinforce the indicated supports with the materials provided, otherwise the framework for the ducts to heat the pads can be constructed with the roof stripped, or the pads in particular pre-constructed to be lifted on once the supports and framework are in place,"

"I'll trust your judgment, engineering has never been a strong point of mine," Jeka said with a shake of her head. "I'll get to work on the supports. I assume there are instructions for that somewhere that I can look over to make sure I'm doing it right?"

The last time she'd been involved in the physical construction of something, her job had been keeping it hidden from view. She supposed that the physical labor could hardly be much more difficult than that.

Celena dipped her head easily at her reply, "The main plan's have details you can look over and expand on if you wish," She commented as she nodded to the hologram, a gesture forming a second separate but expanded view of the supports and the manner in which they would be supported.

"If you need any other assistance feel free to call me, I will see what I can do," She dipped her head once more, it shouldn't be too difficult a task, and with enough helpers it would go smoothly over all.

"I will, thank you." Jeka smiled up at Celena. "And thank you for taking charge of this. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who will appreciate it, but I couldn't have done it myself."
