Hunting Wee Beasties [Open]
It's one of those days where Jamie's found himself with free time and no idea how to spend it. He's already finished his shift in Engineering, there's not any training, and for once, he's not actually hungry. Neither the Sensoriums or the Media Library really sound appealing right now, which leaves...what?
Idly wandering the halls, he supposes. If only he could get into the TARDIS, he'd have something to do, but the Doctor was off who knows where and without the Time Lord around, he's stuck. Oh, sure, his old room was still in there, but what good did it do him if he couldn't get into it?
He's passing by Weapons and Possessions when he hears a noise that seems to be coming from just inside the door, and he stops to listen. It doesn't repeat itself, and he frowns slightly. Maybe he misheard. With a shrug, he's about to move on when it happens again - a faint *thump* this time, as though something in there had been knocked over. There's a flash of movement, just out of the corner of his eye. It looks for all the world like a small black and white cat streaking through the room, which is...unusual, to say the least.
That's enough to gain his full interest, and he slips inside in full 'creeping quietly' mode to see what's up. It's not exactly like he can hide that he's doing so from the hallway, however, and anyone else in the area may very well notice what he's up to.
(( OOC: Rachel is here as well as Jamie and will likely be joining in at some point. When exactly that will be...? Onlythe Shadow she knows. Enjoy! ))

But he's still quite quick on his feet, and watching very intently to see where the cat is headed. Not only will the Highlander be able to get a good idea of what items are nearby that could prove useful, but he'll also be able to see how fast the cat can to move. That should give him a better idea of how he'll have to react in order to snag the wee beastie.

Rachel scanned the room with her sharp cat eyes, trying to see if there was a good place to lose him. But she decided against it-- maybe she'd be able to get Marco back faster this way. The cat doubled back suddenly, from a different angle-- and shot up Marco.

It doesn't make much difference to Jamie. If he can get it around the cat, then he can try for a repeat of the otter incident. It worked before, so why not now?

< No way am I letting that thing touch me, > she said, half to herself, before she scrambled back down Marco and past Jamie's legs.

"Guess I'm never going to think you're capable of anything, am I?" he said to Jamie, sarcastic.

He turns to scans the room to see if he can spot the beastie again, for a moment seeming like he's going to ignore Marco completely, but then he looks back over his shoulder at the other man. "At least I've not been attacked twice by these beasties in the last hour, unlike some people I can think of."

He's lost sight of the cat, and starts to look around to see if he can spot a glimpse of it. It has to be around here somewhere. Pity he didn't have any food on him, or he could try and lure it out that way.
"Tell me, you've not had any problems with that in the past, have ye?"

She did enjoy the fact, at least, that Jamie was giving him crap too.

Maybe they did and he just missed it. If that's true, then he supposes it could attack his kilt, but why not do so earlier when it had a chance? The point is rather moot, anyway. Try as he might, he can't seem to find where the beastie's gotten off to.
"Aye, well. I'll not be able to find it in this lot without some help." And, since Marco's rather beaten up anyway... "Think I'll head back to the TARDIS. Maybe there's something in there I can use to find the beastie."
