Hungry Hungry Judau!
Having missed nearly everything that had transpired because of his naps, Judau had needed to get up to speed as to what exactly happened. Thus far, he had learned of marriages and such, but of course he knew nothing about the newly weds, nor did he care. The only thing he cared about was that if there was a dinner party he had missed. When it came to food though, unless it made him gag with horror, he didn't care what he had to chow down to get through the day.
After doing a few more tune-ups on the ZZ Gundam, making sure the machine was fully functional for when it came down to an old fashioned space fight, he had wandered into the cafeteria, munching down on the food in the cafeteria like a mad man. There was no restraint at all, as if he was literally gulping down everything his arms had grabbed, save for blood reserved for vampires. Even knowing that tiny fact, he didn't give a care in the world. So what if it was slop? At least he could actually digest any of this!
After a forceful gulp from taking in far too much in his mouth, he leaned backwards to stretch his arms and back, belching loud enough for anyone in the mess hall to hear him. He sighed in content, smirking to himself after the much needed food. Sure, it wasn't like that pizza place Torres had shown him a few months back, at least in his world, but it was leagues better than anything served in Shangri-La.
(ooc: Yes, I know the food is technically disgusting, but Judau has lived on a poor colony for nearly all his life. Added to his starvation, so long as it is edible, he'll devour it.)

Which was why she raised her eyebrows so high when she heard that belch and saw its owner looking as satisfied as if he'd just devoured a gourmet feast. She plunked herself down across from him. "Well, you look like you're enjoyin' yourself," she said with a chuckle as she bent her paper-bread-tray thing into a funnel to get the meatish glop into her mouth.

"Well, I was pretty much out of it for awhile there and fixing up the ZZ," he explained, breaking off a piece of the tray and munching on it. "Food though is helping me get back much needed energy, even if it is slop."

"Yeah, I get that. You get so into repairs or just tinkerin' with stuff you forget to eat anything," she said. ZZ. She wasn't familiar with that. "So what's the ZZ? Some kinda ship or mobile suit?" She hoped it was a mobile suit--maybe even another Gundam.
no subject
"Yep, the ZZ Gundam," he replied. "Earned that thing about a few months, maybe years if I had been on ice for too long, in a war against Neo Zeon. Do you own a suit too? Is it that magenta one or something? Color name isn't getting into my mind..."

"Mine is Nobel Gundam," she said. "You've probably seen it--it's got these long yellow radiator fins that look like hair." Oh, and it looked like it was wearing a sailor fuku. But that didn't seem like an important detail to mention. "It's not for the kinda war you're talking about, but it looks like that's what we're in anyhow."

Judau had not been a fan of war either, having nearly lost his sister during the battle against Neo Zeon. The adults were truly idiots, fighting with one another in such a pointless war that only ended in the death of some of his friends and allies, even if two of them had tried to kill him before. The only satisfaction he earned was punching Captain Bright.
"Yeah, tell me about it," he frowned, thinking over of all the events during the last war he was in. Not one had been pleasant. "Even worse, most of our friends are locked up inside of Stacy. Still don't know why she just doesn't wake up my team, if they are even down there in those pod things."

Gundams weren't for that. Sure, the Gundam Fight on her Earth had problems. But for all the grief she'd gone through as a tool for Neo-Sweden, she was one person who'd had a hard time. She hadn't been one of a million people gunned down. Nobody on Earth or in the colonies had to put up with that crap anymore. It was better that way.
She stirred a finger through the food paste. "Someone said that she doesn't have control over who gets popped out. It really stinks... but I go down to the cavern every day anyhow." She managed a wry grin. "I figure if Stacy can't hatch 'em, maybe my yellin' will wake up my friends."
no subject
"I'd go tinkering down with them myself if I understood that cryogenic crap or whatever it is," he explained. "Still, I'm sure by the time those guys wake up, we'll have all of this cleaned up!"

Besides, it felt good.
"But if we've got our Gundams all set and workin' right, I don't see how we can lose. It's gonna be tough, but I think we can beat these Ohms."
no subject
"Now if I can just get in some practice, then we're good to go," he replied. "Confident as I am with the repair job, a good place to test them would help me tons."

But although this was one possible time that Allenby might acknowledge that rules like that had a purpose, they had also been pretty specific about it being live fire drills. That was easy to get around!
"What if we set up an area in the Hangar? The place is huge--there's gotta be a big enough part of it we can rope off to make sure all the systems are workin' right," she said, looking up with a grin.
no subject
"Sounds like a great idea!" he said, agreeing with Allenby, despite the problem in not using heavy weaponry. Last thing he needed was to blow a gigantic whole into the ship. "Granted, I don't think I can use the heavy stuff, but hell, I can work around just using the basic stuff."

....Hey, if he did have a beam sword maybe they could even try a sparring match! If they set the weapons on low and had a big enough space, it didn't have to be too risky to their machines or anyone else's.
Sorry for late tag. Blame exams. X_X
"Actually, I do have two swords," he explained. "Friggin' huge, but I think I can tone them down. Shouldn't be that hard. Course things be easier if I could find the Zeta Gundam. Things perfect for melee!" And by perfect, he meant getting kicked by Roux in the head as they spared that one time. When it came to close range, the girl had certainly fared better, if only because of speed.
It's cool! I know how that goes (right now, in fact)
"I betcha once we find out if our equipment's working right, we could try sparrin' against each other!" she said, sitting up straight. "There's no better way to test how good your equipment and skills are than a match."
