[Closed to the animorphs cast]

Marco couldn't quite remember how he got back home.

Did he morph? He must have morphed. Or maybe he walked, so that Samson couldn't have looked out the window and gotten a glimpse. But what would have been the point in hiding? He knew. He knew. Sure, not about the morphing. Not yet. But it was only a matter of time. Already he knew way to much, and Marco didn't have a clue how to stop him from finding out anymore. Not without setting the entire Council on his tail. On all their tails.

Marco ran straight up to the attic without even stopping to talk to anyone, and tried to think of how the hell he was going to explain this to Jake.

[[ooc: bendytimed to just after Marco's psych eval. Also guys, timelinewise I'm going to assume that all the threads with anyone except for Jake happen after Jake's talked to the others / they've had a meeting / whatever, and thus know about the eval and whatnot. Also Marco's pretty much going to be holed up in the attic all day]]

Rachel was seething. For Marco to have the nerve to keep thinking that he was in the right. And for Ax to imply they needed to be separated. Like they were kids of something. Didn't he see that Marco screwed up?

"Go to hell," she shouted at Marco, but it was aimed at Ax, too. "You think I'm insane for being pissed off?"

Ax took a deep breath to steady his nerves before climbing the stairs. He really wished that they had been designed with Andalites in mind and weren't so closed in.

< I don't think you're insane, I think this isn't going to fix anything, > he replied to Rachel's shout. < Marco made a mistake, but hitting him now isn't going to make the mistake have occurred any less. We have no idea what Samson is capable of, but we at least know that he isn't a psychic -- unlike a human woman I encountered in my earlier days on board. > He fumbled the door open and stepped into Marco and Prince Jake's room. < This is not as bad as it could be. We know who the Yeerks are, we know that most of the crew isn't particularly sympathetic to them. We are not utterly without allies on board. >

Now, does he need to call Prince Jake and Cassie in here to break this up, or are Rachel and Marco going to stand down?

Rachel all but ignored Marco-- he received only another glare before she spun to face Ax as he climbed, explaining, and finally entered the room.

"Seriously? Because I still don't trust them and they definitely still don't have any right to know anything about us. The crew fooled by some guy pretending to be a totally normal human-- and he was just like the god damn Yeerks. How do we know there aren't more? Why the hell should I believe that it'll be totally okay?"

((ooc: Never got a notif + Caitlin's computer fail = herp a derp.))

< I don't recall saying that it would be totally okay, > Ax said flatly. < The situation is hardly ideal. But as of yet, it is impossible to hit someone hard enough to change an action they took in the past. So instead of fighting amongst ourselves, we should instead focus on minimizing the danger of the situation. >

Rachel's hands balled into fists. She was already tired of being called out as being irrational-- whether she was or not. "Fine, whatever," she snapped instead, glaring now mostly at Ax. Why didn't he see how stupid this was? "Talk about it or whatever. I'm sure you geniuses'll come up with some way to fix this. Or make it worse." She shoved past Ax as she said this, and made her way to storm down the stairs-- and inevitably out of the house.

< I can't imagine that doing so would improve her mood, > Ax replied, shifting his weight back to his normal position. In spite of the fact that Rachel had been a normal human for this entire exchange, he'd found that he'd positioned himself in preparation for a physical fight at some point. < We may also need to put our minds to coming up with a reasonable explanation for her behavior. >

[identity profile] mynameisax.livejournal.com 2011-04-09 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
< Whether it's normal for Rachel or not, I can't imagine that it's normal for the average human teenager, > Ax said. < And if we're trying to minimize the knowledge of human involvement in the Yeerk invasion, we are going to have to explain her behavior. >

[identity profile] mynameisax.livejournal.com 2011-04-12 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Ax watched Marco sink down onto the bed, then took a deep breath and let it out.

< No, not right now, > he said quietly. He'd go talk to Prince Jake about Rachel, maybe he could convince her to change her behavior and let them fix the situation.

[identity profile] mynameisax.livejournal.com 2011-04-14 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
Ax shook his head and turned around to head for the door and back down stairs to the more-open space of the house below.

< My friend, when have we ever been that lucky? >
