Dodging the Bullet

Those who had decided not to undergo the rituals were given the option of staying near the observation deck, or in the small settlement near the edge of the trees.

The buildings of the settlement were made of the same stone as the wall, complete with the tribal markings, and people filled the streets, mostly consisting of those waiting for friends. Several more Moai could be seen, oftentimes around groups of Rapa Nui, dwarfing them in size. There were many more Rapa Nui scampering through the crowds, fixing things up here and there, or cleaning messes.

[Go forth and socialize!]

"So, I guess you're not into the whole marriage ritual thing either, huh?" So, there was Tony. Trying to make conversation with tall, dark and deadly.

"Indeed, I would not be suited to it in the least," Have a rather dry reply Tony, though he did have the attention of the Assassin, turning his head to look over the other through the spy mask.

"Yeah, I hear that. Totally not ready for that myself," Tony bobbed his head in a knowing nod and glanced up at the assassin again. "...I'm Tony, by the way, Or Plays-in-Traffic. Whichever works."

The Vindicare dipped his head in response to the other's comment. Plays-in-traffic, now that was an unusual name, not that he hadn't heard many odd names in his time though, "Jalith," He returned simply, though he did give a look back down to Tony as he did.

"...nice t'meet you too, Jalith," Tony replied. He shuffled his feet for a moment, trying to think of a decent icebreaker. He let out a long sigh after a moment.

"Why doesn't Stacy just let us head back up? We're not really needed down here..."

Jalith merely gave the lightest inclination of his head in reply to that comment. Peering over to where the Observation deck had been parked for the duration of the mission as he spoke again.

"A question indeed, perhaps there are other reasons for our stay, one cannot know with the ways of Xenos," he replied easily, if still a bit coldly.
