Movin' on up [Open]
The Master Chief has taken over Samus' old office. It's not like he had a lot to move.
It feels a little odd sitting in this chair, he's used to being on the other side of the desk. He'll have to get used to it, he supposes.
In the meantime, he's not busy. If you need to talk to him now's a good opportunity.

"Excuse me, is this the Security office? Someone told me I should contact Samus Aran."

The Chief nodded to Zouichi. "Yes, Samus Aran was head of the security office. She seems to have gone missing, though, so I've taken it over in her stead. What do you need?"
no subject
"My name is Kanoe Zouichi. I arrived with the latest batch of people released from the pods, and I'd like to join the department."
Apologies! I've been wiped for the past couple days. >.o
He was relaxed, evidently this was routine for him. The man in the armor was sizing him up, but it was without aggression or pressure.

"In terms of skills, I have extensive firearms training and am capable in close-quarters combat. I am also considerably stronger than a human. However, I do not have any experience in law enforcement. Most of my missions have been escort or retrieval missions requiring the extensive use of lethal force."

"You'll fit right in then. Our main focus is usually nonlethal, keeping crew members from hurting one another without causing permanent damage, but we're also first on call if anything nasty shows up. Typical duties include patrolling and being on call for other crew members if they need assistance."
No problem, btw, stuff happens :)
"Are there any set shifts? Or department regulations I should be aware of?"
no subject
"It's fairly common sense. Our structure's loose and flexible, responses are coordinated based on the threat level. Patrols are regular, everyone does their share of those. The schedule can be bent if you can't, but it's not free reign."

So, he opted for the closest thing on the ship - Security.
Now, he could have gone the easy way and just poked someone on the Omnicomms, but seriously, that's not his style. So, he went for his usual: finding the base and crashing it.
Or in this case, finding the window where the Chief was and start knocking.
"Hey! I'm looking for the one in charge of Security! I would like to join the Non-Tentacle-Use Crew Protection Agency!" Spidey said, yelling through the window.
Hello, Chief. This is a potential recruit.
I'm sorry, last two days have been very 8|
"That'd be me. You can come in, you know."
Well. He's seen weirder things, but this is kind of up there. No doubt this guy's a super of some kind.
Oh, I know the feeling. Spent the last week sick and dealing with 1st of the month.
"So, you're the big guy in charge here, huh? Where do I sign up? I wanna join the forces...! wait, that doesn't sound like the right thing to say..."

"How are you with orders?"
WHOOPS! I blame plot... >_>;;;
"Hey, I'm good with orders, believe me." he admitted. "I might be a bit on the hyper side, but that's more because it keeps my nerves calm."

She made her way through the old building, pausing at the door marked off as the Chief of Security's office. Taking a moment to decide if she just walked in or knocked, she ultimately decided to knock, and stood back, waiting for a response.
HI VARIS I am sorry I failed you with my slowness!
IT'S COO i've been eaten by work the past few days anyway
"So I take it you're the man to talk to about joining Security?"

Between that Darksoul possibly still being out there and both his Ponds missing, the Doctor supposes just this once he has reason to go to the "proper" authorities. At the very least, it's another set of eyes, right?
He isn't much for knocking. Or letting anyone know he's dropping in. The Doctor continues to smile amiably at the man sitting across from him. Judging by those scars, he's most certainly seen some action. The Doctor just hopes he isn't one of those shoot-first types.

It's entirely possible they're still in the pods, have been repodded or...they didn't make it from the Ohm, a theory the Doctor doesn't much care for. No, he wants to say they're here somewhere. After all, the TARDIS is here, so...quite right. Yes. He studies the "proper authority" sitting across from him. Sharp, this one. Usually he catches humans more off-guard than that, but that's a fast recovery. The Doctor's opinion of him rises a few notches.
"Right. Can't have me going to you lot without a name, can I? The Doctor. And you're...oh, you don't have a name plaque here. I was expecting a name plaque."
The Doctor is at a loss for the human's name, looking around for any clues. He's about to ask if there was any news, at least, about any...tridenty activities in the last few days, but the lack of name plaque here is distracting. Proper authorities rather like their name plaques. And badges. And ranks.

"If they're here, I haven't met them and they're not registered on the comms," he says. "So, they're probably not awake if they are."
The Doctor, huh? The Chief vaguely remembers a man going by that name in the past, though those memories are rather blurred and distorted by some combination of GLaDOS and Stacy. Besides, he can't exactly fault someone for using a word for a name. Pot, kettle and all.
"Master Chief. Most of the crew just calls me Chief. I just got this office, I haven't had time to have one set up," he admits. "Our previous head went missing. The ship shuffles our roster around a lot."
no subject
"What about finding out if they're assigned to specific pods?" the Doctor doesn't give up. He finally leans back to give Master Chief more of his desk back, idly dusting off the thighs of his trousers with a hand. "I can see that. Not much for rhyme and reason, is she? Stacy, I mean. Or rhyme and reason as most lifeforms know it."
This would all be so much easier, he thinks, if they could get a direct line to Stacy.

"Master Chief?"
Dododododo pretending he has been in there for awhile
She scrunches her face. Surely this can't be right. She straightens up and opens the door. She doesn't take her hand off the knob and points at the letters across the window.
"Why's your name on my door?"
It's nice to see you, Chief.
Re: Dododododo pretending he has been in there for awhile
Isn't it obvious, Samus?
He says it almost like suddenly having a person who disappeared come out of nowhere and demand to know what's going on happens every d-
Wait, yeah, this is the Transmigration 9. It pretty much does happen every day.

"Odd. What's your door doing leading into my office?"

"It's my office."

He pauses.
"And you have pod slime in your hair."
He mimes the location with a finger.

"Mostly I just didn't expect to find anyone in my chair."
She likes that chair.

He's perfectly straight faced, but the emphasis on the "ma'am" is clearly teasing.

"I don't have official authority yet. You'll need to send up my armor until the Captain can make the switch."
